  1. With the play-off's looking a major doubt, I am wondering what the Panthers fans would like to see in 2013?

I would love to see Kenneth back as on an average of 8.18, He is major value but a lot depends on his fitness levels, Linus will return but then I feel we need a major overhaul in order to improve our terrible away form.

As for Michael, Sadly I suspect he will be in the Grand Prix series and his commitments in Denmark,Poland and Sweden are neccesities due to finances and the fact that he is Danish so I can't see him making a return sadly.

I love Krzystof and Norbert but having both of them in the team means our away form ends up being terrible, If I had to pick 1 then I would pick Krzstof as he still has potential to improve while Norbert will struggle in the main body of the team.

With the influence of Jan Staechmann, I am hoping we can convince Mikkel B Jensen to join the Panthers and he would be a major coup.

    1. Kenneth Bjerre

    2. Craig Cook

    3. Krzystof Buckowzski

    4. Ryan Fisher

    5. Linus Sundstrom

    6. Richard Lawson

    7. Mikkel B Jensen

That's a very strong spine off the team but the Number 2 is going to be a crucial spot as he will probably end up dropping to reserve and depending on the points limit and I am hoping it will be a young rider and somebody like Craig Cook would be perfect and I know Craig is a big Panthers fan as I remember he was in the Peterborough City centre as part of a Panthers promotional event.

Regarding the final team spot, I would like to see Richard Lawson in the side as I feel he can still improve on his low average.

What do you guys make of it fellow Panthers fans and what direction do you guys want to see the Team Building in 2013

With our dismal draw at home to Coventry on Monday, The Play-off dream has sadly died.

Regarding next season, After watching THJ battle through the pain on Monday morning when he could have quite easily withdrawn after his first 2 terrible rides, I would love to see him riding next season for the mighty Panthers as I feel he has it in him to wear the Panthers kevlars.

I would also like to see Nicki being brought back as I feel he has the drive and passion to succeed with the Panthers.

    1. Nicki Pedersen

    2. Tomas H Jonasson

    3. Michael Jepsen Jensen

    4. Linus Sundstrom

    5. Ryan Sullivan

    6. Mikkel Bech Jensen

    7. Richard Lawson

Would love to see that team next year, It has title winners all over it.

Come on make your mind up

  2. Thinking we need a team with three decent heat leaders to be more competitive at home, I wasted a bit of time thinking about the possible scenario and came up with:

    1. Neils K Iversen. 8.79

    2. K. Wolbert:. 5.03

    3. Rory Schlein:. 7.23

    4 M. Janowski . 6.37

    5. B. Harris. . 7.55

    6. K. Smith: . 3.73

    7. L. Eklof: 3.00

    Total: 41.70

Assuming the points limit this year wil be raised to 42 pts.. This would give us the 3 good heat leaders, plus 2 experienced 2nd strings, and 2 reserves who will increase their averages...

    Edited for typo error.......

    who is B Harris

  3. As this rumbles on and on, I'm pleased that Davey Watt has called for complete transparancy over this issue, with every club ensuring that a system is in place for every silencer to be tested at every meeting!

Completely agree there needs to be standardised checks of equipment at all clubs to ensure that all is above board going forward.

  4. My goodness me! Yet another anonymous newbie who joins up and immediately starts having a pop at Steve and attempting to turn this topic into yet another Cov/Poole thread, just as other members tried to cloud the issue by invoking Madsen & Holder.

Spot on Steve. Having just lugged my 5 & 1/2 kg VPAP across half of the planet I can tell you it can be a pain; plays havoc with my Baggage Allowance. Mind you, it's nice being able to sleep properly without having to have recourse to drugs & alcohol.:party:

Hi BFD, i am sure you are just as anonymous as me with a username like that and we all have to start somewhere and steve was a good starting point and doesnt need you to defend him or his posts.

  5. For once in my life I find myself in the very rare position of agreeing with Mr Shovlar. :o

If Eddie is found guilty at the tribunal then I would find it very hard to believe that his offence at Lakeside was his first breach of the regulations this season. As such the only sensible course to maintain the integrity of the 2011 Elite League would be to remove his points from all previous meetings raced. Cheating has to be removed from our sport and so the maximum deterrent applied in this case.

This isn't about Coventry v Poole, it's about fair play and if all of Eddie's previous points remain intact then the league is a sham.

Everything is about coventry and poole where mr shovlar is concerned

  6. If you are refering to Chris Holder, yes he stated he was tired but he also has a hand injury.

Tiredness can be a medical problem, I suffered from a problem called "Sleep Apnia", I am not saying that Chris has this but I had to give up driving for a few years. The same would apply to a Speedway rider.

Apart from that, if you were driving on a motorway and a truck crashed into you because the driver was tired you could be hurt or worse, the same applies to Speedway, other riders could get injured.

This thread is about a silencer issue, please stop harping on about Holder. And for your info I am not a Poole supporter.

NB: The part above about motorway driving only applies to you if you are old enough to drive.

Maybe i should start a new topic as poole and tiredness seems to be contagious this time of the year.

  7. When did Poole ever play by that rule! You continually abuse the 4 point rule by using a modified average adjusted to how British averages are calculated. The rule clearly states any rider with a Swedish/Polish average with an average of 6 or above is a 5. No mention of re-calculating the average to the British norm in the rule book. Therefore anything outside of what the rule actually states must be deemed to be cheating! However, you will immediately say that because the BSPA are lax in applying the rule to the letter of the law, then that is OK. I don't see any sense of fair play involved when every season you can bend the rules to suit yourselves!
