Covid-19 Are we being told the truth ?

Prince Phillip in hospital.I bet Boris and Hancock are praying he catches Covid, what a coup for them.

"This deadly disease has claimed the life of 99 year old bigot Prince Phillip. He had his life ahead of him.

Sorry but easing of lockdown is cancelled , it's just too dangerous now."

It would be particularly worrying, as according to david Icke the royal family are lizard people, and I would have thought they would be immune, maybe even introduced all of this to control the world, wasn't it ?

The number of asymptomatic corona cases in Sweden was overestimated

It was wrongly assumed that many of the Covid 19 sufferers showed no symptoms - but still developed immunity.

Our government says 33% of Covid cases are asymptomatic.

Is it a lower percentage in Sweden?

How could that be explained?

If anything, there has been a tendency here to suggest that there are more asymptomatic cases, or at least ones with mild symptoms, as in some recent weeks 2% of our population (1.5 million) has been said by the ONS/Imperial College to have Covid when we have had no more than 150,000 positive test results (or 400,000 in the highest week).

You cant be serious, anyway it is being widely reported that Prince Phillip`s hospitalisation is not Covid related.

It could well change in a hospital, its always a good place to catch anything...

No surprise there.

The government should immediately remove all restrictions on meeting outside, including at restaurants and pubs, save for a metre/two metre advisory.

The problem with that is most pubs/restaurants would probably lose more money with that restriction than when they are shut.

I cannot understand why things like golf/tennis are banned though and should be reopened.

Boris has said this too.

“Prof Dame Angela McLean, deputy chief scientific adviser, earlier told the Commons Science and Technology Committee that each step of easing measures should be "irrevocable" BBC

How stupid, when faced with a seasonal virus that mutates and unproven vaccinations.

It’s just a very stupid way of defending too slow a lifting of restrictions in the waning season.

Has the government ever made it clear that this is a seasonal virus and that restrictions should be imposed and removed accordingly?

Agreed, but that should be for individual businesses to decide, not the government with a blanket ban that is not based on the science.

Sadly, government has perpetuated a number of unnecessary lies to support its core policy of lockdown.

And spot on with golf, tennis and indeed all outdoor sports.

Is it all going breast up in Sweden ?

Seems tougher measures have been introduced in Gotland as they face a worrying situation and in Stockholm infections have risen 24% in one week !!

And this report in a German paper today

Stockholm -
For a long time they followed the “Swedish special route”, not relying on official bans, but on recommendations. And for a long time the citizens were satisfied with their government. But the price is high: after a hard second wave, almost 12,500 people have now died of Corona in the Scandinavian country - and the mood in the population is starting to change.

In autumn it still looked good: Despite fewer corona restrictions, there were only a few new infections, some even believed that Sweden would be spared a strong second wave. But it came - and it was severe: around 7,500 new infections per day were reported at peak times in January - and that with only around ten million inhabitants. The numbers have been falling again since mid-January.

Corona: Swedish special way failed In view of many, especially elderly, deaths, King Carl XVI. Gustaf declared the country's corona strategy "failed" in December. Now the state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell has also admitted mistakes: The number of asymptomatic corona cases in Sweden was overestimated, he said in front of the Oxford Union, a debating club of the British university of the same name. The Swiss “Blick” and the British “Telegraph” quote from the conversation

It was wrongly assumed that many of the Covid 19 sufferers showed no symptoms - but still developed immunity. The result: Tegnell believed that many more Swedes were immune to Corona than was the case - and assumed that the second wave would hit the country much more easily. "That has not proven to be correct, because the immunity in the population has developed much, much lower than someone expected from the beginning," quotes him "Blick". Now Tegnell thinks that herd immunity cannot be achieved without a vaccine. Sweden: People's confidence is falling Does this insight come too late? According to an “Ipsos” survey, the population's trust in the Corona policy has already fallen sharply: In October 2020, 72 percent of Swedes had “great trust” in Tegnell, now it is only 54 percent. Even the Prime Minister Stefan Löfven does not come off well in the survey: Only 26 percent think the Prime Minister is doing well.

The frustration of many Swedes is also reflected in the public debate, the tone of which is getting sharper. As the "Spiegel" reports, Jonas Ludvigsson, pediatrician and professor of epidemiology, now wants to withdraw from the public, and he even wants to end his research on Covid-19. Ludvigsson had spoken out prominently against lockdowns and claimed in early January that primary school students and teachers had only a low risk of developing Covid-19. This had led to heavy criticism from other scientists and from numerous angry parents and teachers. Now Ludvigsson draws conclusions: "If you lie awake at night and can no longer sleep, then it's not worth it," quotes the "Spiegel". "The other side won."

According to "Spiegel", 200 activists of the Facebook group "Media Watchdogs of Sweden" are particularly aggressive in their criticism. They demand that those responsible for the Corona strategy should answer to the European Court of Human Rights. According to "Spiegel", the group founder Keith Begg even drew comparisons with the Nazis' euthanasia program. "This type of group is a threat to democracy," tweeted the science journalist Emma Frans, and a public radio station also tackled the group. The dispute over the evaluation of the Swedish special route has begun.

Surely it should be Death Certificate citations and nothing else? Anything else doesn't make sense.

I guess Fenway is the one that would know but there were certainly some doubts about how covid was appearing on death certificates a few months back.

Even on a personal level I know of one person who had covid on his certificate though he entered hospital having had his 2nd heart attack, died shortly after arriving and was never tested for covid. That was back in March so might have been something that only happened early on, a tragedy for the family with most of them unable to attend the funeral because of that decision.

Hmmm ....

maybe not in a private hospital with strict segregation of staff and positive cases

... unlike the chaos of the NHS.

What is worrying is the numbers are rising again just a week after Tegnell said they were testing less !!! So on the face it of if they are testing less and still in Stockholm have a 24% rise in numbers it could be dramatic

'No jab, no job'

The Financial Times reports some employers are drawing up "no jab, no job" contracts, after vaccines minister Nadhim Zahawi said it was "up to businesses" whether they could require their staff to get vaccinated.

According to the FT, Barchester Healthcare, which runs more than 200 care homes, has said it will not hire new staff who refuse a vaccine on non-medical grounds, with Pimlico Plumbers announcing a similar policy.

One lawyer tells the FT such clauses in employment contracts are more likely to be defensible in sectors such as care settings, because of the presence of vulnerable patients.

As predicted last year:t:
