“Cases” are a completely useless measure.

You can see from our November effort that lockdowns make b*gger all difference.

So what would you say brought the ‘cases’ down then?

Nah, you'll have to do better than show the weather now. Covid started to plummet in January, when the temps are generally the lowest of the year. Deep winter. They have opened up now, when the temps are good.

If it was down to temps, then why are cases rising in Florida, which also has 20+, or in Brazil which has 20+ or rocketing in India which has 30+ ? Even in Europe temps were pretty good, but at least here the only thing that has slowed them down is the drop in testing over Easter. It also doesn't explain what I have been trying to get over, that there is a big difference in Scandinavia, where the temps climate is pretty much the same

Johnson said he will be having a pint next monday.

No self respecting publican should serve the lying git after what he's done/is continuing to do.

But Spain has identical weather and their ‘cases’ got no where near as high and Portugal’s had dropped at a faster rate so there must be something else at play?

Forget “cases”, always look at deaths.

Although of course even deaths are arbitrary with Covid as a “cause” being highly contentious.

Everyone should know by now that official figures for cases are only a sample of the number of actual cases in the community, dependent on whether people come forward or instead ignore their symptoms or fear self-isolation and being off work or simply do not know they are infected due to 33% of them being asymptomatic.

The official figures have been as low as a tenth of those estimated by the ONS.

We’re currently running at 5,000 a day, or 40,000 over eight days (the infectious period), when Vallance said yesterday, based on the ONS, we have 1 in 357, or 190,000.

Then the relevance of cases is muddied by defective test results and whether many “positives” can actually transmit the disease, certainly not those with low viral loads and much less so with the 33% who are asymptomatic.

It's Tuesday April 6th, and there is still no test for 'Covid-19'.

Meanwhile in Texas...

It still doesn't explain the disparity between Portugal and Spain.

He did.

But he was correct in what he said though, for a change.
