Best/Worst Christmas Songs

Recommended Posts

Worst ever : Mistletoe and Wine , by Sir Harry closely followed by anything that mentions Christmas or was  Christmas Number One.

Favourites : Tiger Rag by Jelly Roll Morton ( 1933 version) , Take the A Train by Duke Ellington, I Hope That I Don’t Fall in Love With You by Tom Waits,  and Only A Pawn In Their Game by Bob Dylan. Pretty much the same the rest of the year:approve:

Bah humbug :D

When I wrote that I thought there was a theme !

Also liked Slade, Wombles and Showaddywaddy's Xmas offering if it helps (but then again another theme, the '70s, runs through this extended list).

Oh well the past is always better (maybe?)

I guess that Christmas more than anything makes us nostalgic remembering Christmas's past when we were much younger and it was less hyped and/or commercialised...and, yes, Christmas songs were always better back then!
