I'm a bit behind at the moment being stuck in a field near Barnsley, anyway from what I saw on the updates the Pirates really JUST got away with that one. One speedway rule I absolutely loathe is the strategic replacement one, I get ridiculously happy when it all goes wrong (cos I've never witnessed Poole use it before),  but last night it was a godsend and gave the Pirates draw. Bad luck Cheetahs it is a cr.p rule.

It'll probably be rinse and repeat again and try and run the top league with 5 teams if Sheffield don't run, and still try and call it the Premiership when they'll be next to bugger all actual top riders available to ride over here.

Maybe was when he started Geoff,  but if he is losing money every meeting,  unfortunately it can't last, as your dream becomes a nightmare

It’s concerning that we have heard nothing concrete with regards next year’s plans. I was happy to give people time in their new roles, Mark & Rob on the BSPL board with Mark additionally joining Speedway Futures at the end of January and then Richard becoming a promoter six weeks after that. Aside from the terrific work to get Northampton up and running what do we know is actually happening. There has been the usual calls in the press (independent, du’s, top riders, costs etc), that we all know about already but nothing definitive about speedway future.  I do get the feeling we are just waiting to have our operating model thrust upon us by Poland if their Poland + 1 LEAGUE is implemented. That will impact many of the issues in brackets above though not the primary independent requirement.  With the season all but done and dusted by the end of next month the lack of publicised activity is a worry (again).
