Morning all, Thank your kind words - its much appreciated. Delighted to be in the position to be able to do this, and as a real fan of Speedway, it means a lot to be able to work with Buster, Dale & the team - who have both been brilliant to deal with to make this all happen In answer to question above, our third office is in Caister-on-Sea, next to Great Yarmouth. Heres to be a big 2020!8 points

I've just finished Tai's book "Raw Speed"... or as it should have been called "It Is What It Is". And while it was very interesting to read his take on things (I still can't make head nor tail of why he punched Ben Barker, other than they were both drunk) I have to say that I don't think I've ever read a more poorly written "Autobiography" and I've read a few. At least a third of the book must be pure filler as it goes off at tangents giving irrelevant and needless details and giving you history of who people are and and venues etc. Which quite clearly haven't been penned (or even thought of, I suspect) by Tai. And if I had a pound for every time I read the sentence "As I've mentioned before"... Take away all of the filler and I don't think it's anything more than an extended Speedway Star interview. 6/104 points

Ironic really, that the season we have created major issues for our BB holders, we create probably the oldest team on record.4 points

I'm glad actually if it is him because he's enthusiastic in his posts and is clearly a fan. He hasn't been sucked into the negaativity vortex that alot of the people who post on here have! Well done on building your business from nothing! And well done stars for attracting a loyal supporter as a sponsor.4 points

Pretty sure it's him as he did mention about being an Estate Agent once. Good on him from being a supporter for many years and then sponsoring the Stars.4 points

STARS LAND NEW TEAM SPONSOR KING’S Lynn are thrilled to welcome Minors and Brady Estate Agents as their new main team sponsor. The Norfolk outfit will now be known as the Minors and Brady Stars with preparations well underway for the latest Premiership campaign. Minors and Brady are award-winning estate agents which was founded by Jamie Minors and Alex Brady - who have both worked their way up from being trainee negotiators to running their own company with three offices across Norfolk. And for co-owner Alex Brady it really is a 'dream come true' to become team sponsor of the club he has supported since he was a child. He said: “I am a huge fan of speedway and I have been coming to Lynn since I was five-years-old. I went out to eight of the ten Speedway Grand Prix’s last year and we also sponsored Ty Proctor in 2019 - I would class him as a good friend. “I have known Buster (Chapman) for number of years – I did a Power Slide class when I was 15 and then I dealt with him through work last year, and that is really how this all came about. “It really is a privilege to be asked to be team sponsor because I have spent so many years watching Lynn and you see companies like Poultec sponsoring them, but you always dream that one day it could be you. I love the sport and I want to help it grow again, gaining exposure so like I say, it really is a privilege.” King’s Lynn owner Keith Chapman is delighted with the new partnership. “I am very pleased to have Minors and Brady as our new team sponsor this year and I would like to welcome them to the club,” he said “I know that Alex has been coming to watch the Stars for many years and he really has the club’s best interests at heart. Hopefully we can help them going forward as much as they’re help us as a club. “We like to have support from local businesses and the fact that they’re a Norfolk-based company is really good for the area and it is good for everyone involved. “I think it is brilliant how they have grown as a company in the last couple of years and not only that, they have also gone from being a sponsor for one of our riders to now being our team sponsor which is great for everyone. “Minors and Brady is a company that is growing and with the partnership that we now have, we can hopefully grow with them and take King’s Lynn on to bigger and better things.” The Stars will launch the new season with their press and practice on Monday, March 16, at the Adrian Flux Arena. All media are welcome to attend with team photos and rider interviews taking place between 12pm - 3pm. Gates will then open for supporters at 6pm with riders out on track between 6.30pm and 8pm, followed by a Q&A session between 8.30pm - 9pm in Champs Bar.4 points

All this BS about how old this team is... really!?..this is not football..it's speedway..and some guy even suggesting they are so old they will be scared to pass..what planet are you on! mate?..riders like Bomber, Osterguard in fact all of the Panthers team will never be scared to pass and when they are they will retire. The reason I'm happy with this team is we have gone for all out racers not gate n go tarts..I like this team.. roll on season 2020.3 points

Dont particularly regard Tungate as a racer more someone that knows the lines of his home tracks but then I think most that race for Aces or Panthers can lay claim to that2 points

If Samara is the airport there shouldn't be any problem. My wife used to work on a joint Russian/British project and was always flying off to Samara. She was almost a regular commuter. She never had any problems and quite enjoyed her time out there. Though for some unaccountable reason she never went to speedway. Some people, eh!2 points

just be a bit less offensive and aggressive and you can say what you want - its just not necessary and i don't know why anyone would revel in unpopularity unless they needed psychiatric help2 points

Suppose so... The Daily Express & ITV wouldn't be my first port of call for facts though2 points

I heard a rumour that they should get in touch with the other bloke if he exists, who, because of his age should really be a bit more empathetic to those being displaced by an unworthy decision.2 points

I've nothing but admiration for what Tai has achieved in speedway, but his book is terrible. I've read loads of speedway books down the years and the Simon Wigg book is my favourite, and the only one that has moved me to tears.1 point

Just read about the Premier League considering a ban on over 70's at matches - https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-sports-bosses-and-broadcasters-summoned-to-discuss-contingency-plans-11951225 Couldn't possibly do the same in Speedway, tracks would be closing down within a month1 point

As we're constantly being told to wash our hands with an alcohol based hand sanitiser if we want to help avoid what is, for a person of average health, a bad cold, wouldn't it be useful to line our insides with alcohol as well? Willing to volunteer if any research into this is happening1 point

Wasn't there a similar situation either last year or year before where a rider could not ride at a certain track in an open meeting as is was not a track raced on in his only league.1 point

Would be a good sponsor now that we know the team. Remember the days of looking across to the pits and marvelling at that parked up fleet of Readypower vehicles? Imagine those now being Motability vans. Of course you'd only be able to imagine it because they'd have to be parked outside. And that's not a dig at the team which is fine in today's world. It's not 2006 so as long as you don't turn up expecting that then you'll be fine. However, Panthers Legend and Panthers Icon are both currently running Panthers Supremo close on the most irritating label table.1 point

From what I hear NKI is only foung a few ml ths till bjerre can come. Regarding nicki the word on the street is he will give it a few months himself. If hes enjoying himself he will stay. If it's to much he will drop UK. Hope he does stay though Personally I think he will enjoy himself and therefore stay all season1 point

Certainly an odd bod. 2 year hiatus since 2017 the pops back up with plenty of bells teets and other manner of unpleasantness's. Just pop on ignore and will finally wither away although it hasn't worked for the Berwick wally yet.1 point

Heard the Diamonds advert on Metro Radio this morning, and it was very good, to the point, all the info and likely I would say to make the possibility of people coming to our 90th anniversary meeting on the 29th real. Metro Radio are our Media partner, and they approached us given what was going on when Rob came in to save the speedway. The radio station is the biggest commercial station in the North East, so it's great to be partnered with them and good for the sport in the area.1 point

Pretty sure 3/4 of the now Newcastle riders asked for a team spot there when they announced they were running a nl team but they never got back to them1 point

regarding this common knowledge about Jason coming over because of seth, yes it was common knowledge but what is also FACT as geoffs likes to tell people is that Jason himself said that seth is not coming over but is staying in Australia as he had 1 more year left in school obviously at the time of the interview he was not aloowed to say that seth is riding in the championship as seths team hadn't announced it yet so Geoff please shut up for once1 point

Watching them trying to deal with the Tigers in the 1st meeting will be more interesting.Imo1 point

Is it not the case that a lot of young British riders do not get a chance because of the senior British riders moaning that they can’t make the sport pay unless the ride in both leagues. Some would ride in all 3 if they were allowed.1 point

What this fan really wants to see is that in a majority of races the positions will stand a very good chance of changing after 1/2 lap. And that riders believe that that is possible and make a real effort to do so, rather than accept after that first 1/2 lap that the result is set in stone. And settle for a high speed verion of line dancing. Bring back racing and the belief that having a serious go is worth it. Not least to entertain the remaining supporters!1 point

Seems perfect proof that the club was/is and will remain bigger and more important than any individual. Perhaps those previously offended in the past and thus continue to stay away from race nights need to understand their ego/pride is the reason they are now staying away which is a shame because if last season is anything to go by they are missing exactly what they wanted in the first place. i.e. many good nights of speedway and an incredible season of success.1 point
