IMO Sam Masters as No.1 getting a maximum is more or less whats expected in every match, Connor Coles is expected to pick up 2-3 points, he did far better than that.5 points

Again, the gamble of having the 'best 2' riders in the league has been a factor in this as they are virtually 'irreplaceable', but the Ipswich management made that choice. It is fantastic to see these riders in our league, but it severely weakens the team if they are missing as there is a compromise in the remaining 5 riders to fit the limits. Not quite the same level, but losing a 1 and 5 at the same time will rip any team apart, so yes Sheffield had a similar situation last year when they lost Holder, then his replacement Woffinden, and then Musielak. The new 75% rule has scuppered Ipswich with Emil, but can't be blamed for not replacing Doyle. He announced at the beginning of June that he was out for 4-6 months. He obviously wasn't coming back this season so why run R/R for so long ? OK, a different rider probably wouldn't have reached the same heights, but a settled team member with a couple of months to get used to the UK tracks prior to the business end of the season would surely have been better ?4 points

"the contempt they have for the supporters"...what unsubstantiated nonsense you write! The injuries were unpredictable, without which we would still be top of the league, and as for "making no attempt to replace Doyle", that is uninformed drivel. Maybe spend some time away from the keyboard, in the real world, and you might see what is really happening.3 points

The transfer window or the Tai rule was put in place to stop promotions like Wolves bringing in riders for the play offs. The ridiculous knock on is you now cannot sign riders to cover injuries, even if all 7 are out injured. You have to take guests from the lower clubs who failed to make the play offs and these guests total devalue the sport at a time when the media are taking a greater interest. As a grim piece of icing, the folk that started all this are no longer involved in the sport. Grrrrr.3 points

I'll give NKI the benefit on this one.. I thought Buster was the culprit here for getting Simon in. But after your info, i'll have to give him the benefit on this one as well.3 points

Ben Trigger did well last night scoring in each of his 3 rides. He clearly benefitted from advice and practice at the track the day before. Unusual for a guest!! Well done.3 points

I think it an excellent choice. He completely owned the Glasgow reserves and I think it makes sense to make him feel appreciated as we may well want to use him again.3 points

No, you are supposed to keep all your named riders from the first match.... Even if you are getting hammered every week and your crowd levels drop...2 points

Connor had a very heavy fall in heat 2 he came out on another bike whilst he was riding that on track half the Oxford team were jumping on/kicking the bike back into shape. Connor has not performed to his potential at Oxford in previous visits. sure if Luke hadnāt been injured he wouldnāt have had as many rides but he still went out completed 7 races and only failed to score in one race and was the highest scoring reserve. He put up a good fight for most of his points. No disrespect to the likes of Sam and Scott but they are your top heat leaders and rightly or wrongly you expect them to put in maximum performance. Where as Connor we had no such expectations from him. He gave it his all and deserved the reward.2 points

I didn't realise it was against the rules to change teams during the season, thought that was a transfer window was all about2 points

If Lynn takes a facility for Iversens being ill it means Niels is out for 7 days, this way with Lambert in on No Facilty Niels is free to ride in both matches next week.2 points

I thought it was quite unique that the poster couldn't look at Sheffield's website to find the teams but they had time to post Several self portraits emojis on the post2 points

Nothing sums up this forum like the number of people prepared to come on this thread and tell us how bad Cardiff is and how they will never go! Who cares? Those of us who make a big effort for the weekend seem to love it! My partner and I enjoyed meeting some great speedway fans from up and down the country, enjoyed the racing, couldn't fail to love the result and thoroughly enjoyed the impromptu Q&A with Tai after the event. Thanks Tai! We're also going to Riga & Torun, which will probably cost less together than Cardiff, but it is the only speedway themed weekend in Britain. Posters throughout the city centre, stalls with 'dodgy' merchandise on the Main Street, streets closed for fans - don't remember anything like that in Manchester for the SoN?? It would be great to see two SGPs in Britain but did Belle Vue do themselves any favours with their overpriced tickets, resulting in a big temporary stand looking empty? Again the two of us enjoyed ourselves in Manchester for a weekend, but lets not have a competition for the best - lets get together for both!2 points

And the issue such things happen is that these riders then get used again the following year... There is simply no deterrent at all... For some, getting a 28 day ban at this stage in the season is perfect as it means no risk of injury in the UK, which could impact where they earn the most, and also, risk the wrath of, particularly, their Polish employers.. "You won't do this again will you?" "No" "Good, here is your 2025 contract"..2 points

Chapman clearly not interested and couldn't give a toss about the fans the vibes don't look good for running next season?2 points

What absolute tosh tonight. No Iversen he is ill and replaced by Simon Lambert, and Tungate is still not fit.So that will be a 28 day ban for him. Iversen was bang in form,so expecting another loss for the Stars. Can't believe Buster said this was the most expensive team he had ever assembledš¤ If I didn't have a season ticket I seriously would be thinking whether or not to go to this one tonight. If there is a next season, they can stick the season ticket where the sun don't shine.2 points

Personally I think there are enough riders for 7 teams, as long as the top riders are shared out. The likes of Sheffield won't like it, but then having 3 top riders, when Birmingham & Lynn were struggling to find one, doesn't do any good for the league.2 points

There's no doubt Flint has been a very disappointing RS for Birmingham this year. But he's still the third best in the league & when Dan T & Rowe are no longer "riding stars" next year, he'll be the highest averaged (in both leagues) RS available. Why wouldn't you want him back? Just because he's been disappointing / not got to grips with his home track, doesn't mean there's anyone better out there. Look at Leicester dropping Joe T for Hagon looked a sensible move, but now look to have ended up with possibly the weakest RS in the league.2 points

And that masterclass on the team restructuring went as poorly as the original team building.2 points

I imagine that they will submit plans and then the council will allow the abbey to be demolished for housing and then they wonāt go ahead with the new track. just like Reading.2 points

Hats off to Brum if they are back next year. They seem to have been the whipping boys for a few years now, struggling to assemble competitive teams and having to release under performing riders. Didnāt get to see the Lions there this season, but on my previous visits our supporters seemed to out number home fans and if this is still the case, Brum must be losing serious money? I hope Tolley still has deep pockets as British speedway needs The Brummies.1 point

Think the poster just wanted to be disrespectful to Nathan Ablitt, Luke Harrison and Mickie Simpson. They have a history of writing factually incorrect drivel trying to denigrate the NDL, which in reality just makes them look foolish.1 point

Ben has got a ride for Oxford against Lynn tonight, replacing the injured Luke Killeen.1 point

I'm interested to see Tom Spencer be given more opportunities at this level. He is one of the best NDL riders not racing in a regular basis in the Championship so fingers crossed for him for 2025. I hope he has more nights like the one at Glasgow where he got a paid win but is a honest and safe rider at this level.1 point

Ben Prater - A new site has been found for speedway and a motorsports hub at Studley Grange on the edge of Swindon - BBC Sounds You can listen to garbage from Terry Russell here .. Really poor interview as he gets a really easy time of it by not being asked the questions the fans would want him to be asked1 point

Firstly, best wishes to Killeen, that looked a nasty incident. Vale has shown promise this year but is not ready for this level at present. Scott has struggled badly lately when taking the number 7 jacket, (he has taken a few knocks) as has been shown by now using others to fill the gap. Coles always gives himself a chance with good starting and his paid 9 was fully deserved.1 point

Thank you Brum especially Pawlicki for making me look an idiot, I can do that myself thank you without any help from you guys š. I feel so sorry for Nigel Tolley the Birmingham fans and loyal band of helpers they deserve so much better than what they have been served up this season. It is pretty obvious to everyone now if it wasn't before that Birmingham have had there pants pulled down by Pawlicki, I would get rid of him instantly (nothing to lose) and replace him with anyone that is available and wants to ride, back to the result and firstly well done Kings Lynn you wanted it more than Birmingham who sadly are simply unable to get seven riders to get it together on the same night, I will say in my opinion the track does not help their cause and that needs to be looked at if they are to be back next season in fact I would put it at the top of the list of things to do for 2025.1 point
