King needs to go for next season. Only beat Leon flint once. always fails to deliver when most needed. Completely unaware of the opposition who pass him easily yet goes out of his way to stop a faster team mate passing. hopeless at team riding and never looks for his teammates. been a great servant to Ipswich for many years but the time is right for a new challenge.5 points

That track at Sheffield used to be a great race track, but the air fence as narrowed it off but not slowed it down. They also need to drag the dirt back off the fence, only half of the track is used the racing is rubbish follow the leader all round the fence. Also its a danger for riders out on the fence Emils crash Holders crash and Lindseys crash all caused with riders chasing dirt four feet from the fence. Come on Sheffield sort the track out so all of it can be used3 points

Bit of a piss take he’s fit to ride at bv a few hours earlier but can’t do the evening meeting, you’re either fit enough to do both meetings or don’t do either.3 points

I have to agree production quality this year has been very poor with awful camerawork, bad vision mixing and poor directing The article below has a crucial statement saying that the broadcaster Eurosport had asked the OB provider to cut costs which they have done they are using an older OB truck with old cameras which is showing on screen with bad pictures , less experienced staff using Uni students for some roles but that’s what you get when you cut the budgets so much https://www.svgeurope.org/blog/headlines/experimenting-with-power-cloudbass-pushing-the-boundaries-of-sustainable-production-on-speedway-with-tesla-powerwall-batteries/3 points

C’mon Mods, why the need for this rank progress? It’s not a competition on how many times people post. I rarely do now as sensible posts can often lead to insulting confrontation by the usual suspects. You can view the sign ins and reads. You’re just opening it up to Trackprats. There are many good posters on this forum, focus on weeding out the planks.2 points

Tatum making the same mistake AGAIN saying the top team choose their opponent! He said this in the last televised meeting and was actually informed he was wrong and he corrected himself live on air! And yet he’s saying the wrong thing again.2 points

Birmingham is better track than Sheffield. Sheffield is non existent for racing and it's a one line track that's dangerous at times as well. Lidsey fell in the same place as Emil did.2 points

Did anybody see the highlights from Brum on the Discovery stream also? Covered in buggy overlay graphics so you could hardly see the racing. So unprofessional - BSN do indeed put them to shame, on a fraction of the budget.2 points

it's a re-accurance from his injury earlier in the season ligament damage he was limping badly in the pits !!2 points

Yes but that’s because they aren’t guesting? They are part of a team that has officially got into the play offs, so contractually they have to represent their official team, not from teams who failed to qualify but still want to participate.1 point

You just have to hope no one gets injured in the deep dirt at Sheffield.1 point

Absolutely. Still, as a Leicester fan I don't often get to moan at anyone else's track, so...😁1 point

Brilliant track, brilliant presentation and a brilliant meeting, if i was to say anything negative itd be pure nit picking. Really is such a great place and should be the example set for all clubs. Felt like we did well to keep it as close as what it was, pickering being the real standout who as of late judt seems to have stepped up another level. Should be an interesting meeting at Owlerton tonight1 point

Don’t think you can just blame the weather on this one the whole fixture list was a shambles IMO.If you are racing for separate Trophy’s there should be deadlines on these separate fixtures for a start and not just put on the backburner because of a rain off.Nothing changes from season to season though just a backlog as usual.Everyone knows the top Clubs in that particular season will probably be in the later stages of every event.1 point

Weird how a mystery illness pandemic always seems to start in Poland just as their league play offs are starting. Speedy recovery to all those affected.1 point

Douglas didn’t even get to ride and has got injured since taking the booking. The curse is real! I’d be extremely wary of accepting a Witches guest booking at the moment 😅1 point

I know I had been to a test match at New Cross in the early '60's....but I don't remember much about it even though I filled in the program. The first one I really remember is in 1964 at Wembley GB v USSR and I was hooked.....went to most Test matches from then until about 1973 loved them all, big crowds and well organized.....still follow them now whenever they are on, which is RARE. I am at a loss as to why they have fallen out of favour, not with the fans but the promoters.......there used to almost 30 home meetings a year at every track, I think you are lucky now if you get 20.....all those wasted weeks when SOME entertainment like Test matches could be done....even at junior level.....1 point

You’re being deliberately misleading here using those averages which we all know don’t tell the full story because of the way averages work. Probably because just like Geoffrey, you don’t want to admit that Brennan has stepped up a level since leaving Belle Vue. As always the devil is in the detail. His average for the 2023 season at Belle Vue is near identical to his average over all meetings in 2024 for Birmingham. But take away the bonus points from sitting behind Kurtz and Bewley and the GSA’s show in 2023 he achieved 5.87, this year his GSA over all meetings is 6.50. There’s also a world of difference between riding without pressure at reserve/2,3,4 with Bewley and Kurtz doing the heavy lifting at the top end, than literally carrying the whole team (before Lindgren came in a few weeks ago) at either 1 or 5 and being the main source of points for your team. The boy has stepped it up a level this year, it’s ok to hold your hands up and accept it even if he’s done it at another club other than your beloved Belle Vue.1 point
