Craig, once again, giving his critics a metaphorical kick in the bollox... "But he won't keep it up, Boo Hoo,I am right"...đ Great to see the lad winning and enjoying his racing .. Shame the Aces didn't go for him but well done Oxford for giving him the chance . And he is riding only at reserve so 5 points a match is the only target, not 15... "See, I knew he couldn't keep up those big scores, I was right again"...đ Hope he has a great season .5 points

Very sad news from yesterdays British Superports race at Oulton. an eleven rider pile up after the first bend sadly claimed the life of Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson. I believe seven of the riders involved in the pile up were injured with Tunstall picking up serious injuries. Best wishes to Tom for a full recovery and RIP Owen and Shane. As. You can imagine the meeting was abandoned. The risks these guys take to entertain us deserves more than just a few lines on a forum, but thanks to all riders for the entertainment you provide us with. thoughts are with Owen and Shaneâs families. Rest in Peace guys and thank you .3 points

If you look back at the GP results over the years there were never 10 or so riders putting up areal 5 fight we had multiple World Champions and same 4-5 rider filling 2/3rd spots.BZ is the best rider out there and the scoring system makes it even better for him.3 points

The bank holiday lunch time meetings do Belle Vue no favours, track will always be different for those than the usual Monday evening conditions, which nibbles away at the home track advantage. It might make the club a few more quid with extra fans making the journey but racing Isnât as good and puts home team on back foot also.3 points

It was shocking 2nd half with a blue groove and literally clouds of dust! They didn't attempt to save it getting like that so come off it!2 points

Hume is struggling for Berwick in the Championship. What the hell were the promotion thinking about expecting any different performances in the premiership. What a farce. Try tempting Timo Lahti over, Iâm sure he would be available and do a sterling job.2 points

It seems all riders prefer slick tracks mores the pity, only Bomber says he'd like more shale on track.2 points

You forgot the word POTENTIALLY. Young Cairns looks a very good prospect, I've seen him ride a few times. But don't start believing he's the new messiah until he's earned the right while dining at the big boys table. Same with Rushen, the two of them are great prospects but league racing and the pressure that they'll be under is a different level to what they've faced so far. I'd completely forgotten his name and remembered it straight after posting. Look at Kyle Bickley he win everything as a kid, where's he now ? So much pressure and anticipation put on his shoulders. Maybe in a few years he'll comeback, who knows.2 points

Should have made it top 2 non GP riders.. One night each.. Keep more riders interested as they go into the semi final...2 points

But... It is only a Play Off Qualifier, with a top 4 place pretty much assured this year given the Aces' usual home form as the dryer weather slickens the track and improves the racing and their passing of opponents.. The BH meetings generates good income and a win, no matter the scoreline, is a bonus...2 points

That's sound like an offer of help that the club can not miss. I know that some track volunteers will be there on Sunday from 8am. Shall I make sure they know you are coming?2 points

Ashton has so much talent...but I can see him walking away even if he isn't replaced at both of his teams, which is a distinct possibility right now. When he gates and is in fresh air he is absolutely rapid. When he doesn't gate, he is shutting off and not wanting anyone remotely close to him. Kings Lynn fans have said that at times he is just giving up while at the back and looks devoid of any confidence. It is such a hard watch and hopefully he gets these problems sorted as soon as possible, because he has talent to burn. Nobody wants to see it wasted.2 points

Leon Flint must be one of the most improved riders in the PL. I think he's surprised everyone with his early season form.2 points

Does no one talk to their friends or people standing next to them anymore. OK if it's raining I can understand why people want a quick meeting. But yesterday the weather was fine and there was plenty to talk about. Fans ask for more dirt and don't want dust but then don't want delays when it needs graded or watered.2 points

When you say better you mean a bit of grip probably ,the track is a superb shape and well prepared.Like I have said itâs the riders that want it slick ( Batchelor is an example just want to gate and go,or he gives up at the back).1 point

Heeps is not that good around Poole, and with Masters taking one of his rides, that's a good chance of 3pts straight away1 point

As they say in the trade, he's lost his bottle. It remains to be seen if its short or long term...1 point

Most of the meetings I've seen live this year have been processional mostly. But then maybe the same could be said in previous campaigns when tracks had more material. Glasgow seem to have it right with the track prep and the riders who are willing to race.1 point

Whilst I admit that Poole is seemingly a magnet for the young up-and-comers, it's a shame that Poole do as little as possible to enhance young riders training. It has been quoted previously that Poole supporters would not support the third tier team 10 years ago. How do the management know that would still be the case? Third tier Speedway can be just as, if not more, exciting than more senior levels. I recall that you once were adamant that you would not go to Speedway if Poole dropped down to the Championship, seeing it as a lesser standing than 'Elite/Premiership' fare. Look what happened when they dropped down! You are still there every week!1 point

It's a shame, but Ashton had this shutting off when things got close a lot last season as well. Obviously he and his team know the problem, and must be trying to fix it. But as i posted back in October, if he can't fix it himself, a sports psychologist might be worth a try. In his last home meeting, he won 2 races, and was buzzing going back to the pits. But he did run 2 lasts... He also was at the Young Stars meeting last week, so i think he still loves the sport, but is a young man very frustrated with himself at times. The longer this goes on, the harder it's going to be to overcome it. I don't like to drop a young local lad, but maybe stepping down from the Prem, and doing the Champ and NDL might help him re gain his confidence.1 point

It is sad to watch, but a lack of nerve is something you don't want, if you want to be a speedway rider. As you say looks class when hits fresh air. Unfortunately even the best had to ride in traffic. I've never seen anyone so blatantly shut off going into the first bend. Lets hope he can overcome this. If not I can't see much of a future for him, which such a shame. When he's in front he looks one of the best youngsters out.1 point

Surely throwing him into so many international meetings can't be helping him either. Unless they're hoping he rides himself back into confidence but that's a very hard thing to do.1 point

It is the highlight of my Tuesday mornings to wake up to the latest excuses from Tolley - too slick at Oxford and the "depth" of the track was wrong last night! In the long history of deluded promoters (and it is a long, long list) he is fast taking over as the undisputed No.1. He can't fathom out what went wrong last night - which is surprising as most of us who were there can!1 point

Was watching this live and could see it was a shocking accident fair play to the camera man for turning the camera away straight away RIP1 point

very sad for all riders involved, these lads do it because they love it, and understand the risks involved, but it is always the family and friends that suffer the most. but they have to respect their reasons for doing it. sad day for all bikers when things like this happen.1 point

I noticed that used to happen at Berwick a lot, they'd grade the track at the same times every meeting. If they'd use r/r there would be a gap after one heat, nothing done, then track grading when no riders had two-on-the-trot. It was like it was an automated system they couldn't change, rather than the reality of telling the tractors the best times to go out.1 point

Cook does this now and again. Didnât he come in to a Premiership team least year and hit a ridiculous score on his debut? 19 or 20 something like that. But very quickly reverted to type and didnât sustain it.1 point

I know this too well, I worked with Adam Shields for 9 seasons, injury took its tool and at the end of his time in the sport he was riding within himself, didn't want to mix. I was so happy when he called it a day and has a happy life back in Australia including becoming world kettle ball champion a couple of years back.1 point

It seems the more he tries, the more he's denting his already low confidence. He really would benefit from stepping back or even down. It's a shame. He's only a young lad and we all know he has the skills and talent but with that comes such massive expectations.1 point

Needed Gilkes when he was available. What I have seen of Boughen so far is,he is quick if he is on a track with fresh air between him and other riders, will back off if anyone is within a yard or two of him.But what gets me the most is the amount of times he just gives up this must annoy most of the fans.1 point

There was definitely one dodgy call for me, possibly two. The possible one, was the call back when Lynn were on a clear 1-5. I had a seat in the stand so if Iâd have stayed there would have had a better idea, but I needed a Jimmy Riddle and walked across to the gents and watched the race from a head on view from the tapes. Did Klindt jump? Difficult to tell from where I was but looked like an even split and if he did jump, the red flags came out very late!! Boos from the Lynn fans and I donât blame them. Second one was Brennan. Saw that one close up and he definitely spun and went down on his own and should have been excluded. No way was that an all four back.1 point

Was more boring when Rickardsson was seeded to the main event had 4 gate ones and won the meeting1 point

With Zmarzlik we are seeing one of the true sporting greats and should appreciate it whilst he's at his peak. He's a level above every other rider when push comes to shove and knows exactly how to win a GP series - consistency. We'd all like a more competitive championship, but this guy is simply a legend. If he wants it, and avoids injury, he could dominate for another five years.1 point
-
Its hard to see anyone stopping Zmarzlik in the next 3/4 years. He could well go on to be a 10x world champion. as good a rider as Laguta is, I don't see him getting anywhere near Zmarzlik in the GPs now.1 point
