  1. Wonder if kelvin goes home tonight and opens the front door and is puzzled why the carpets in his house are dry when it’s been raining all day

  2. One thing you can credit Jack Holder on is his team riding. No messing about no wanting to be the main man just makes sure the job gets done.

  3. Funny how I supposedly hate Poole yet I spent the afternoon with Matt Ford and his wife here in France.

  6. Looking forward to this and hoping the tie will still be alive after the first leg. As a Lions fan I have a feeling that Dan T could haunt us now that he is back in a reserve berth. With no TS options available, he could still have seven rides if he’s on form. Couple this with the fact that his brother Joe, based on current form, may not beat an opponent home or away, which may give the Witches the edge. Hope I’m wrong but it looks like we will be carrying Joe again which makes Ipswich slight favourites in my opinion.

  7. Recorded meeting on TNT and had caught up to the last race and the recording cut off just as the riders left the pits🤬

  16. Despite having team Kevlars I thought it was good to see race jackets with the flag of the country on, thought it looked very traditional and I am a fan of team Kevlars

  17. They are not bad riders, they were just outclassed.Speedway in Europe is a different ballgame to GB at that level.

  18. Deserved to be world champion, no doubt in my mind

  19. 100% agree, they had a game plan about team riding and it worked, didn’t break each others line or ride like individuals which was the downfall of other teams! Deserved it totally!

  21. The front angle was didnt show that, it shows madsen hitting dudek, I agree dudek does lean on him but madsen does hit him, it was correct decision

  25. I think Dan always felt he could get round by using the dirt so didn't lock up and try and undercut.... A proper racer.... A shame as GB finally looked capable of a podium... BZ on his 650 wins the re run...

  26. That's unlucky. Correct decision but unlucky the bike caught the dirt like that.

  32. True but it is a valid reason in my opinion, cant see us getting through with Ellis especially as his father hates Poole almost as much as you do!!

  33. Did I dream it or did Sheffield get a facility for Jack Holder for family reasons earlier in the season?

  34. Lambert to fluff it tonight with no back up for Bewley. Won’t even get bronze medal.

  35. For me the concern is not what it says on the hat (before I put my specs on I read it as 'f***ing pervert') - but the fact that it suggests the broadcaster care so little about the product that they are leaving the production to the youth experience kid.

  37. Riders just want/need bike time. The Ippo preview says they are aware a few of their riders have other matches elsewhere. Seem OK with that.

  38. Indeed he did. He also said "nothing teaches you like riding abroad & getting a hiding", GB guys rode as well as they could, got a good heat win in their last ride, will defo learn from the experience & so do better next time. Regarding Lambert apparently not recognising PC, Ivan once made an unannounced & unintroduced visit to the Hull pits, Craven Park era 2000 or so, after talking to all the riders one was heard to remark "who was that bloke & what does he know about speedway ?!". As it happens, Ivan knew quite a bit about speedway😉....

  39. No it's not. The rider himself confirmed on BSN it's pronouced how it's spelt. I think he might know better than you do!

  46. Absolutely. If they hadn't had COVID jabs, no-one would have worried about Hausal's cap! It's a very strange alternative world some people live in.

  47. Not one of them is capable of trusting someone else, independent or not, to manage their finances or sporting affairs. Anyone who has had any nouse or enthusiasm for the bigger picture has historically been driven out of the BSPA/L even Phil Morris has capitulated and moved the goalposts two seasons in a row. We are following the Village Fete Committee and expecting them to run the Olympics- so, so sad.

  49. There aren’t insufficient riders. There are insufficient riders of sufficient quality. Granted it all amounts to the same thing, bad news for British Speedway and its fans. That lack of “good enough” riders is at least partly a result of the doubling up doors being jammed wide open for all about 15 years ago. A short sighted decision at the time that is now coming home to roost. At that point there were more than enough riders to go round. Rider power probably drove that one. Recently it’s been exasperated by the tighter visa rules post-Brexit it seems. It’s definitely a case of a best case scenario out of the current mess. One league seems to me to be more of a ballsy attempt to give the sport a long term future, not without massive potential pitfalls. The standard would drop, it’s unavoidable, but it could be the only way to repopulate the domestic rider pool in the mid to long term. Otherwise we end up losing clubs annually, dropping to teams of five (horrible idea) and before long there’s nothing left. Carrying on as we are seems to be agreeing to continue with death by a thousand cuts. It would be just another sticking plaster.

  50. I 100% agree some of the things I read in Bowes' statement were out of order & no rider should be subjected to them. Had he said he was sitting out if the rest of the season due to mental health issues, I'd be full of sympathy. But as he said he was still willing to ride at Poole, but apparently can't be bothered to turn up for Workington, I'd say good riddance to him if I were a Comets fan & we don't need riders like that over as a British Speedway fan.
