  1. Without aussies over here we wouldn't even have a league. So let's be grateful for them

  3. He was in a f***ing coma ffs. The info about his injuries was coming from medical professionals, not from him over exaggerating.

  4. And quite rightly so, possibly the worst post ever made on this forum that sinks to new lows almost daily... congratulations šŸ‘

  5. They publish the top earners numbers usually at the end of the season.. Usually a fair few with £600k plus... Which is why it pees off the Poles when their riders get injured riding overseas... Riders will use their signature money at the start of the season, to build not only their Polish kit, but also their GP kit, and their kit for whichever other leagues they race in.. Also. Look at any rehab that needs doing. Invariably it is the Polish team footing the bill, regardless of where the relevant injury happened.... It is big money, big pressure, big jeopardy, big consequences over there... Just how a professional sport should be..

  9. Totally agree with this take. I can't think of an obvious rider to drop (including Lambert) they were all riding close to their averages, but the team was 2 points weaker than all the others. For all the stick MPT gets, what do fans expect putting a 6 point rider at number 5? Mountain maybe the biggest underachiever, plus Harrison away from home, but they've all had good & poor matches, so hope is there they can turn it around? Now Ingram is flying, especially at home, they're kinda back on a par with most teams (built to the limit) Ingrams improvement cancelling out Pickering's average drop. Had they managed to find a heat leader to replace a second string, they'd look a decent bet for a play-offs spot.

  11. Money has always been there in Poland for a while. When I worked with Adam Shields he top scored in an away meeting that Leszno won, they gave him 2 brand new engines for that performance and Thats going back a good few years now.

  12. So not think these GP boys are just taking the p#ss out of GB Speedway watching Holder over the weekend beating all the world stars with ease.He he turn up here and can’t be bothered.R and R must have him under 4for the GPs at Manchester šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

  13. Today's fixtures, or this one and return later shows how much the sport has declined in the UK. I seem to remember some of the Bank Holidays had a full league programme in both leagues.

  14. I've heard it all now, the woman asking the questions on BVTV to Zach Cook after his last race... "ate you making any changes to your setup for tonight" šŸ˜‚ If you've got nothing meaningfully interesting to ask, don't ask anything at all... may as well have asked him what he's having for his dinner! Jack Holder has had a stinker this afternoon and really cost his team big time.

  15. From what I've seen he's mobile but only for very short distances. Be can often been seen in the pits of meetings on his 3 wheel scooter painted in his classic white and yellow livery.

  16. Does anyone know when Charles is going to be fit and can we look to fit both Charles and Klindt in the same team , the bears are currently rock bottom albeit after 2 matches but a few more losses makes it hard to catch the top 4, could Charles get a dispensation with his average ?

  20. Not really a big crash, he just hit the ground hard, caused by his engine blowing mid turn, he didn’t leave in ambulance and was sitting in his pit bay with an ice pack on his shoulder when I turned over to the other match, I’ve got the video of it but I’m not posting it because of the Lilly livered that get on their moral high horse about such things, anyway tai speedy recovery

  22. If you knew your speedway history you would know thumping teams doesn’t necessarily mean an increase in the attendance but does mean a very large increase in your wage bill.

  23. As a new venture a learning curve is always undertaken. Things can and will go wrong . So far this season all of the things that have gone wrong , are all miner things that will be looked into I'm sure.

  26. Another cruel truth of the risks these guys take for our entertainment Gundo and Per Jonson absolute top drawer riders in their day, Leigh Adams even more cruely as he had left the sport when his accident happened, plus Darcy the one rider who could have maybe stopped Bartoz.

  36. I thought twice about going as these baking hot midday meetings dont tend to produce good racing, decided to go so hope it bucks the trend. Looking at the Aces line up Sheffield should be winning this, we struggle at Owlerton with Dan the evening meeting should be a formality for the Tigers.

  45. Despite not being a fan of Jack Holder, I found it grossly unfair that Madsen (11 points) got seeded to the Final when Jack (11 pts) had beaten him in Heat 19. I could however, agree with heat times being the criteria if there had been 3 riders tied.

  46. In the 90's we were trying to get engines to rev over 10,000rpm. There were still crashes then but not as many serious ones that we are experiencing now. Todays engine can achieve 18000RPM but is restricted to 13500RPM. I'd have to ask the question why would an engine tuner build a motor that cannot be used to its full potential. For me the bore size should be limited which would mean a longer stroke to get to 500cc & in turn this would reduce the RPM to a usable level. The short stroke engine has not made the sport any faster as the list of track records will support only a fraction of a second each time it is reset in most cases & less than a second over a 25 year spread. The short stroke motor has made the sport more about who can hold on the longest & who is prepared to take the biggest risk rather than the best control & skill set

  47. That was last year though... we've not had this year's. Last years got you a GP wild card. If they'd got their fingers out they could have held the 2026 British Final as a qualifier before this.
