So anze grmek rode last night at Plymouth then caught the same flight to Poland as Dan Thompson who rides for the same team as zach cook. Cook could have rode at Plymouth and got the same flight but Poole thought they could bring in Edwards who rides Plymouth better than cook but the powers to be were wise to this hence the reduced facility i.e 75% average blatantly caught out trying to cheat or complete lack of commitment from cook or maybe both you decide but these are the facts. Win at all costs backfired on the cheating pirates.

Until championship speedway returns to a semi professional sport it will never be sustainable. How can our level of speedway be expected to finance flying riders around the world to ride. Leave that to the premiership and return our league to how things used to be when riders had jobs as well. Hardly a big ask when you're lucky if there are 4 meetings a month.

A great days racing from Poland that had everything from nip and tuck racing to enthusiastic crowds. You could not ask for more as the riders never back off and chase every point. Thanks to all riders/teams for today’s entertainment and special thanks to those providing the links that enable us to watch great racing.

So now you are saying he missed a meeting to be a mechanic? If that’s correct no guest facility should have been allowed and a ban should be issued for withholding services.

I'm all for hard riding,it's his reckless and out of control riding from him I don't like.There's riders like Zmarzlik,Doyle,Lindgren who ride hard but 95% of the time they are in control of what they are doing. If there were 16 riders like Woryna in the GP's,you would probably only end up with half of them at the end of the series.

It's hilarious how its always 'we were massively weakened' when the guests don't work out yet when ringers score big points its never 'we were massively strengthened'.

We've just gotta except that speedway in the UK these days is a tinpot sport compared to how its ran in Poland and the money that can be earned riding over there, Poland its very professional, over here its Mickey Mouse.

Problem in Dan's case though is that Lodz barely give him any rides to earn money, Kemp was in the same boat and eventually signed for Workington. I think the Championship may be watered down drastically next season to exclude anyone riding for a Polish Club.

The biggest problem will be available riders to run the so called Premiership if Poland bring in the one league only in '27, not just all the riders that ride in the Polish leagues who ride over here, but also the amount of British senior riders who DU more often then not during the season at some point, their all getting on age wise and cant go on forever. Nicholls 48, Harris 44, King/Lawson 40, Cook 39, Barker 38, Wright 37, Kerr 36, to name a few. Yeah there's a few decent youngsters coming thru but not enough atm to replace those mentioned above when they finally retire.

Hello everyone I’m just happy to see my team last night, I don’t really want to get into the politics of it all but if Arthur who is a true Poole fan is saying young will is riding in Poland today and rode at Plymouth last night it makes a bit of a mockery what cook did last night surely being on the spanner’s for someone in the gp if that’s true is not on and sticking two fingers up to the guys and girls who help pay his wages on the outside looking in it all seems a bit bizarre, if I’m wrong Poole fans I’m sorry

That attitude is exactly why UK speedway gets shoved to the bottom of everyone's priorities. Cook has signed a contract with your club, he should honour it. Why are you not p1ssed off that he's decided he couldn't be bothered to make it work, so has just dumped your club? Instead it's just "oh well, Plymouth is rubbish anyway lol 🤷🏻‍♂️" and no blame apportioned to the rider who didn't turn up. He's happy to take the money when it suits him, but not when another club comes along offering more money. I'd almost guarantee that if it was an important individual meeting (that benefitted Cook himself) at Plymouth, and he had to make it to Poland this afternoon, the travel options would miraculously appear.

Someone on updates was saying Andrew has ploughed over £600k into Worky from the start so you can't fault his heart and commitment if that is true. If this Poland and one other league situation in 2027 is true UK speedway will be forced into making some hard decision next year whether they like it or not. If the current second division ends up going back to the standard of the national league a few years back before the powers that be obliterated it, that could be a good thing. One old hand per team, 4-5 English youngsters and maybe a couple of young aussies like the lad at reserve for Berwick who are committed to being in the UK the full season could be the way forward. Whatever way you slice it if you can't get more punters/sponsors in through the door, the costs are going to need to come down by a third to a half.

Seeing Luke,cooper and will on BSN is always a joy. So enthusiastic and loads of charisma. Great to see them progress. Darren Thompson dad of the twins is always brilliant with letting kids have photos on the bikes. I guess once the pressures of deadlines of getting to airports starts it unfortunately changes things.

Does it really matter now, Plymouth won and Poole lost, let's just move on to the next meetings. I personally don't agree with it, specially as the meeting in Poland was not until Sunday, they will be the death of speedway in this country

We dont know what time Poland want Cook there for. Dan T sometimes doesnt even get a ride, so slightly different. Anyway I am sure Poole would rather have Zach there as a first choice! If Zach doesnt want to ride Plymouth, can't say i really blame him.

7 GPs and 7 winners. People will realise next year that we are blessed this year to actually have the best riders of this generation all in the Grand Prix (apart from Nazar) but minus the Russians. Anybody can turn up and win this year, I would have happily seen this line up (official line up) go again next season.

They wont give up their rides in Poland unless they can get the same payment and perks with their Britsh clubs, which aint never going to happen.

A good meeting somewhat spoiled by the unfortunate injury to Tate. Hopefully we get some good news! I think all the Comets riders dug deep today and put in a better performance then they have lately. Jeppesen seemed to find something later on in the meeting that he's been missing for weeks, looked down on pace in his first 2 rides compared to what he can produce. Drew Kemp is now also finding the fastest line around Northside, and NHJ gave us something we've been lacking at reserve, interesting that he said in his BSN interview that's he's gone away recently and decided to ride a bit more conservatively at times, instead of trying to make every overtake possible and coming off. It showed today, looked miles better.

The problem with Victor is he was signed on falsely high average,which was gain by riding for Edinburgh at reserve at a track with a huge home track advantage if you can ride it(which he could) over 10 pt at one point,he went into the Top 5 as was mediocre but seemingly riding with illness.Finished the season on an inflated average IMO.Im afraid scoring your average doesn’t mean that much,when you see who he took his points off.Away from home he has been very poor for a Heatleader and costing the Bandits.In previous seasons I have been critical of Jye away from home but this season he has really stepped and I give him credit but I has been negated by not having a3rd heat leader.

Being brutal, maybe shift workers will miss meetings. The reality is that the majority of speedway fans are not shift workers and its impossible to facilitate any form of fixture list which can accommodate all eventualities. FYI, back in the day, when I worked shifts, where possible I arranged swaps or even had to have my fingers crossed that the meeting finished on time to enable me to get to work on time for the 22h start.

However, the UK doesn't operate a squad system at present, so it's irrelevant whether he made it "perfectly clear" or not - if he's happy to sign a contract then honour it, if not then don't bother. My point was more that this type of stuff just gets overlooked so much, so continues to happen. It's too late now anyway, the ship has sailed, but it's just a bit sad to see fans brushing it off so lightly. Poole have had some of the world's best riders over the years, and were one of speedway's biggest clubs, yet fans are now seemingly unbothered that Zach Cook(!) is dumping them for a meeting in the Polish 2nd tier. I thought they'd be up in arms but perhaps that's just me.

British Speedway is just a circus, I look at the GB speedway site every day to check out results and almost every day its the same, oh where is so and so, why wasnt so and so riding, they were fit and riding the previous day etc etc

Feels like all of the GP's this year have actually been quite entertaining. Maybe that's the Woryna affect, he's an absolute nutter but you can't deny he makes things a lot more interesting! Great night for Lambert, not just the win but Zmarzlik dropping points has opened up that title race further. You'd think he would need to win at least two of the last three rounds to stand a chance but on current form he's certainly capable of that. A fit Bewley, Holder and Lindgren throughout could have really made this season something special.

It's an interesting interview with JD, he's always been an honest guy. So has basically just told it how it is. Might get missed but he said that the club is in no danger at this present time, but I can totally see why it wouldn't be sustainable long term to run next season and beyond. I heard an averaged figure that the club is losing per meeting and although not ideal is probably pitance compared to what loss Sheffield and some Premiership clubs are running at. IMO it is more a problem with certain factors out of our hands. The UK cost of living, rising costs of running a meeting and compounded by the British Speedway logic as a whole, when I look around the Arena the crowd levels don't strike me as that bad, the number of sponsorship boards is remarkable, crowd levels are probably what I would expect given what we are and where we are, and the fact we don't live in a pre-90's (pre-digital) age anymore, which is often forgotten on here. Big changes are needed, and promotors like Mark Lemon need to get their head out of their arses and stop believing that a Premiership model with GP riders is sustainable for the good of British Speedway, and think of the bigger picture for every speedway club to survive, that in itself does more damage than anything I believe, it is proven time and time again that the 2nd tier racing is the most competitive and exciting league IMO. 5 man teams would be a must for me for starters, and for the Comets it's amazing how much of a diference the crowd is when we face Glasgow, Redcar, Edinburgh etc. so more localised speedway would help. Fans still seem to travel in numbers to away meetings from what i've seen, and Comets fans certainely repay the favour, there was loads that travelled to Redcar recently for example.
