If this is the riding order, then Stead has a tough couple of heats to start with. He'll have Jagus & Dryml in his first, who I believe have both ridden for VMS previously & then he has Anderson & Sullivan in his second heat. Ouch! I'm really looking forward to this mtg - it could be the best one of the year. Great line up of riders of similar abilities, so should be close. Would be very surprised if Holta (with home track advantage) and Andersen don't make the final. However, I think anyone & everyone else is capable of being there too.

Hans might already be in it as first reserve if Rickardsson retires early or is ruled out with injury - he's not in the Swedish SWC team & there's still no news on the Lonigo wildcard despite the draw being tomorrow. Intrigue!!!! Doesn't Peter Karlsson ride for Luxo at Malilla - he could well get the wild card as he's qualified for the final & is going well at the mo. The Swedes need someone to cheer as Trick has not been going so well. Hans should get it though - Zagar got a 2nd go last year & he only came 3rd as Krsko wild card- Hans won one!!!

Vetlanda, Sweden on Sat 19 Aug - the week after Malillia GP which is just down the road. Good week's holiday for Paragon & me!

I hope it wasn't balderdash coz I don't think he's up to it, but I think he will be there next year one way or the other. He is the British champion after all- although Loram was missing from that mtg. I just can't see any rider refusing a seeded place, irrespective of what they say in advance. Though more power to him if he honours his words. BTW the year out hasn't harmed Hans Andersen, if anything he's become a better rider for it, as possibly has Sullivan.

Doubt that he, or his sponsors, will turn down a GP place, no matter what he says in advance.

Top 3 go through from the final. (top 8 from this yr GP stay in series & 4 wild cards from BSI). Don't you think the top placed Brit from this mtg will get the 2nd GB wild card from BSI though? Can see Nicholls getting the 1st place if he doesn't make top 8, but I think Richardson might be hoping a bit..... Suppose it depends on the demographic of the qualifying riders from this & the GPs. Might not be room for 2 Brits.

I think you're right if Gjedde was 2nd in ht 18! Either way, Harris has done well to join Steady in the final. It is a strong line up for Vetlanda & we can't wait now!!

So he wasn't excluded in heat 18 then? That makes the 6 qualifiers straightforward now

I'm confused now. Spreadsheet shows Gjedde with 9 from heats but they appear to have the line up for the final as 12, 7, 14, 4. This would be Ryan, GJEDDE, Max, Pepe. But what about no.15 Koschieca who had 11 points ? Confused!

Jirout no17 was 2nd in heat 18 (cell G22 on the spreadsheet). Unfortunately they don't give a reason!

Looks like Sullivan, Max, Pepe all on 12; Koschica 11, Harris 10 all through. Run off between Gjedde, PUK & Lindgren all on 9 for the 6th & final qualifying place. What happened to Juri in 20? Why did Gjedde get replaced by no 17 Jirout? Was it 2 mins, tapes or is he unable to ride?

Kosciech has 9 as well. Its Sullivan 10 Max 10 Pepe 9 Kociecha 9 Gjedde 9 Juri 8 PUK 8 Harris 7 so its down to heat 20 when Juri, Max, PUK, Pepe meet. arghh!!!!! Am I right in thinking that top 6 go through unless a Swede is not included, then its top 5 plus Max/Lindgren........ if so then as Max is already there, then Juri, PUK & Harris could make it.

Looks like Pijper, McGowan, Topinka, Visvader, Kennett, Schatzer & possibly Darkin (unless he wins his last 2 rides) are all out of this now. At least Kennett started the meeting this week..... Looking good for Ryan 9, Max 8, Pepe 7 & Kosciecha, Gjedde & PUK all on 6. (after 3 rides each). Harris, Lindgren & Pavlic all have 5 & can still get through. Come on Juri!!!!

Didn't Richardson withdraw? (& Zagar did) No surprises about the qualifiers - we picked 4 of the 5 plus Zagar & Smoli got his place.

Tricky isn't in Sweden's SWC squad - you might be right with your retirement theory I musn't be a sceptical wifey! lol

Last time I saw Topinka (at a CZ mtg) he was riding under a Slovakian licence. Did he have a falling out with Dryml senior & the Czech speedway bosses, or am I thinking of someone else?

Is this anything to do with Rune being listed as Norwegian again for the GP qualifiers? He should decide if he is one or the other - he cannot be both at the same time. Anyway, there are enough good Poles about not to miss him from the squad. I am glad Jagus is in & it was obvious Kolodziej would be named if fit as Reading is his home track. Not sure about Pepe & Ulamek though.

We will be there - are going to the GP at Målilla the week before & will stay out for the GP Challenge. Should get to see a couple of league meetings aswell. Having seen the draw for the qualifiers, the Tarnow line up is worthy of the final alone. However, if Lee R (who shouldn't even be in it - what a fix ) makes it through Miskolc, he stands a good chance with the final on his home track VMS. If GB are not going to follow the order from the British Final, why go to the effort & farce of excluding Loram - he said he wanted to qualify for GPs again. GB is a joke. Also, VMS rider Rune Holta was awesome around Vetlanda when we were there a couple of seasons ago - just wonder if he is Polish or Norwegian in this event! I wouldn't bet against Hans Andersen or even Jagus, Kolodziej or Aleš Dryml either. Am chuffed that qualification is back - just wonder though, does the absence of Antonio from the 1st round mean he expects the wild card for the final from SVEMO? We saw him win the last Challenge at Vojens to win his GP place originally.

Why not at Peterboro? Got to be better than Reading. Won´t be going in UK though, it is far too expensive compared to the Swedish & Polish prices. We went to Wroclaw last year & the race-off & final tickets combined were cheaper than the first round at home. Rip off BSI! For next year, why don't BSI hold the SWC as a 3 track tournament in Gorican, Krsko & Lonigo. Would be a fantastic weeks holiday & neutral tracks for the main protaganists. GB only do well at home, Poland won in Poland etc etc. Neutral playing field please BSI!
