Into the final are the SON winners - If Poland win it then the runners up are in it along with Poland. 8 teams that contest the Semi’s must include Germany and Latvia( staging the Semi’s) and other 6 teams will be the highest placed SON result teams.

What strikes me is that this is a dumbing down of the prestige competition in World Speedway that is held every 3 years. Now we have the situation where a country with 2 good riders can qualify for the final of the top 4 rider team competition.

SWC Semi’s are in Germany and Latvia in 2026. All change as well for SWC in 2026 SON winners in Torun into SWC final( if Poland win it then it’s the runners-up that take the place. no race-off- only the winners of the 2 Semi’s qualify for the Warsaw final.

I did say by the end of this weekend. I need to amend that to after the SON comp in Torun as the FIM and presumably the new series promoter are discussing it and finalising it in Torun next week.
