  1. Surprised no-one has mentioned Kenneth Bjerre, he is under real pressure in the last 2 GP`s now to cement his place in the top 8.(only 8 pts clear of Holta in 9th ).As for the british rider in the series, and its a certainty that there will be one i think it all depends on Tai Woffindens performance in the world u21 final-if he wins the title i think he will be nominated.
  2. Sorry no live tv of the match-clean cut will be doing DVD`s .also one match in poland on Sunday which doesn`t appear to be televised gdansk v Wroclaw in relegation play-off 2nd leg .
  3. Possibly but if they wanted him in the series they could soon change the rule ! they could ask the BSPA for advice.
  4. Hopefully canal plus will show a match on both nights
  5. Both play-off final matches will be sold out twice over,Torun told me on Monday that tickets will go on sale one week before match which is going to mean there will be a mad scramble for tickets i`m sure our polish forum friends will keep an eye out for info and post details-I am assuming we might just be able to buy over the phone-i desperately want to be there on the 18th. Edit Rico beat me to it
  6. If he wins the u21 title at Gorican 0n oct 3rd then it could be a possibility,i certainly wouldn`t rule it out.
  7. The live tv match is lejonen v Dackarna.Start time 6.10pm uk time. The home team hold a 2 pt lead after winning in Malilla last week. For a preview and the teams read Ghostwalkers excellent play-off thread. http://soccer-live.pl/transmisje.php?id=motorsport http://www.myp2p.eu/competition.php?&c...dDays=2,3,4,5,6
  8. I would like to add my thanks to phil for his answers.i can only echo the thoughts of many that the GP`s are the pinnacle of this great sport, and its frustrating to a lot of us that the racing has gone downhill over recent years.I would say that when one is actually at the track it always seems a better meeting than for the people watching it on tv at home. My own gripe is that there is never any bite (grip) on the tracks-if only there was more dirt riders would be able to use the outside more. one point that has been made before is the damage practice does to the track-obviously the rules have changed(offically or maybe un-offically)about riders having to be at practice eg Scott Nicholls. If there was more money in the sport, instead of practice the day before they could have test days, weeks before the GP(obviously couldn`t be done at Copenhagen and Cardiff) As regards Gothenburg Phil i was there getting covered in dust on the first bend from heat one onwards and i arrived at my seat very early and i certainly didnt see continual watering-they only came out twice in 2 hrs and during the meeting they didnt put any water on the inside third of the track Didn`t they have problems at practice after watering ?
  9. Couldn`t send e`mail to Torun came back to much spam was the reason given.Just phoned the club and spoke to someone who spoke english and she said its far to early, tickets not on sale yet phone back ONE WEEK before meeting.I can see this being a real problem in getting tickets. do any of our Polish friends know if this is the norm-its bound to be a sell out yesterday`s match was.
  10. dates are now sorted for remaining matches 3rd place play-off Sept 27th Bydgoszcz v Czestochowa Oct 4th Czestochowa v bydgoszcz Final Oct11th Zielona Gora v torun oct18th Torun v Zielona Gora
  11. this match scheduled for sunday 13th September has been postponed and is now on next Sunday 20th at 17.00hrs it was postponed because of rain.
  12. The 3 riders who finished on 7 had identical scores-Bjerre did not have more last places.
  13. I think so because Torun had higher finishing position in regular season-now the scramble to get 4 tickets for my party will start.
  14. Maybe Phil Rising could comment on certain aspects of the GP`s. 1 Are BSI/IMG happy with the standard of entertainment ie racing this season being served up to the people attending and those watching on tv ? 2 Does the FIM jury member report back to the FIM on the racing, fairness of gates etc ?

  16. Should be 2 very tense matches played to full houses. 1st up at 3pm uk time is Zielona Gora v Bydgoszcz. Can the home team pull back a 12pt defecit from the 1st leg ? Some team news Sportowefakty are reporting that Protasiewicz is going to take a late fitness test to see if he can ride for the home team. 2nd match at 5pm uk time is Torun v Czestochowa. Will the home fans at the superb new stadium, see Torun overcome just a 2pt defecit from the 1st leg ? http://soccer-live.pl/transmisje.php?id=motorsport
  17. No as he had won it for the last 2 years he decided to concentrate on the GP`s
  18. Not an ideal draw for Crumpy at no1, comes out every 4 heats after the track has been watered-could make it interesting.
  19. More information now available about this meeting start time is 15.00 hrs and tickets cost between £10- £15.programme is £2.50. i am really looking forward to this meeting-lots of the field in with a chance.i suppose Pavlic must be the favourite, but one cannot rule out woffinden, bridger, TH Jonasson,Hougaard,Klindt,Ward, and the poles Zengota,Pawlicki and Janowski.
  20. Vastervik v Vargarna i suppose, they have quite a defecit to pull back but if Gollob is back i just feel this could turn out to be the most exciting.
