Delighted for the Ruskies especially after Batchelor's cheating behaviour. Even more delighted as I backed them at 10/1 to win tonight ! -
It's rumoured in some places that Sky are going to separate their sports channels and have dedicated channels for football, cricket, golf and F1 with the rest going into a Sports Variety pack. People will be able to choose which channels to subscribe to and not pay for football etc if they don't want to watch it.

It's not a given that Sky will release the broadcast rights to another competitor. When they renewed the contract for Rugby League they paid for the broadcast rights for all 3 leagues but stopped showing Championship games early in the contract. Other broadcasters wanted to pick up those broadcasting rights but Sky said no, even though they had no plans to use them they were not prepared to let go of them to their competitors. So you might find a situation where if Sky don't show anything then nobody does, so be careful what you wish for.

The RFL were charging Bradford Bulls an annual rent of £72,000 plus the Bulls were responsible for all maintenance costs and other stadium related costs. The business rates alone are £99,000 per year. So there's £171,000 per year plus maintenance costs for anyone wishing to take on Odsal and use t for speedway.

2016 Swc Semi's And Final 29/30/july 2016

When Doyle hit Pawlicki it straightened him up briefly and at that speed he was never going to be able to recover and turn the bike properly. It was inevitable he was going to fall. Completely the correct decision to exclude Doyle. -

I think Holder was just miffed that Lemon was making a mistake, as it should have been a TS joker ride no matter if it was him or Doyle doing it. -

If that's what the programme said then it's wrong. The rules are that each rider can have one TS ride so long as you're 6 points behind, it's one per rider not one per team. They can be made at any time in the meeting. The heat 17-20 rule only applies to the joker. -

No we couldn't, if a rider has his programmed ride as the joker then he can't also have a TS ride as well. That's why the joker should always be used as a TS. Rosco got it spot on, and the Aussies screwed up by using Doyle as joker in his programmed ride. -
Thanks to Robbie B for running the competition. I look forward to defending my title next year !
