  1. Tai doesn't have an easy first heat does he? But, if he can put that one under his belt, he's practically home and dry. Sweaty fingers crossed.
  2. Hi all, Got the Union Jack up the flagpole, so "C'mon Tai" Using Sopcast -96706 for coverage and a nice interview now with Bruce Penhall, who looks in very good shape.
  3. Won't be able to join you guys tomorrow as we'll be away, but i hope it is a great meeting. To add to the excitement here is a pre-meeting warm up that was sent to me by our good friend Pawel. http://www.miss-spee....pl/?page_id=15 Enjoy. Alan.
  4. Imagine if there had been an actual meeting. http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/386495/kibice-falubazu-swietowali-na-ulicach-wideo
  5. How much MORE credibility would Scottish football have lost, if they had allowed Rangers to get away with it, is more the question, in my mind. Private Eye has printed endless stories of the financial skulduggery that was perpetrated by Craig Whyte and his cronies and my opinion is that Scottish football will emerge stronger in the long term for it's transparency. Our friend Pawel has his ear very close to the ground on the Polish scene and the influence of post-communism oligarchs. Yesterday was a defining point in Polish speedway. It was every uncomplimentary adjective you could throw at it, It should lead to a BIG clean up . If it doesn't then The Extraliga will become as big a joke as The Elite-Ford league has become Regards. Alan.
  6. "You have one great country over there mate. 21 states and 5686 miles by train tends to give you a pretty good idea of the place. From the top of the Empire State, Arlington Cemetery, Chicago, through the Rockies, Alcatraz, Sunset Strip to The Alamo. One Hell of a journey. Enjoyed it so much I am gonna go to Seattle in May and do another long rail trip along a different route." Pandorum, It's good to have you back and i'm so glad you had a great time. In my 16 years here,i have been made incredibly welcome by a very warm-hearted,generous people. Like anywhere there are some loud-mouthed obnoxious plonkers (as on this forum ) but everyone can find their very own America and for my wife, son and i, a very peaceful and contented one it is. Really happy for you and good to have your valued opinions back. Regards. Alan. Until the FULL story emerges, so are a lot of us, mate!
  7. Two topics that should always be avoided . Religion and Politics. Whatever one's views are we must always respect another alternative opinion. "Not very knowledgEable if you question that" referring to the possible existence of someone who may have been "The Son Of God" or a socialist lunatic or a figment of the imagination is a private matter best left off a SPEEDWAY forum. We, for the most part, pride ourselves on the international section, in respecting the many and diverse views that emanate from many distant lands. "Pretty well documented" and "I am no expert but suspect" are hardly definitive and best kept for a private, one on one, exchange with someone who is willing to discuss such matters with you. Respectfully. Alan.
  8. You didn't miss a thing mate- literally!!
  9. Welcome back to the forum and au revoir from this side of the Atlantic. Look forward to hearing how you got on, after a jolly good night's kip. Alan.
  10. Sure hope there isn't any precedent for this Mikec. That would indicate that speedway is not well run!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards. Alan.
  11. Thanks for your help today Pawel in keeping us informed. Sorry it had to be this way. Positive note. The cleanest kevlars ever at a post-meeting presentation.
  12. What happened to 'Going down to defeat with honour"? Torun, the Sonny Liston of speedway, quitting on your stool.
  13. Imagine a big domestic football final, any country. Star player injured on the eve of the match. Packed stadium the next day and his team demand a two week postponement, and then walk out.
  14. See my post 1402. Hope not, but i'd be bloody fuming if i'd handed over my hard-earned zlotys. How about a ban on club and riders for 2014? . Hit them where it hurts. Totally disgraceful situation.
  15. It's very unfortunate situation for Torun having to go out without a top rider, but the greatest duty is to the paying fans of both clubs, not to mention the tv viewers. How about Torun out for next season and both Div 1 teams up to Extraligue for 2014?
  16. Could you blame the ZG fans if they go ape-rubbish if Torun won't race? I;m normally a peace-loving individual but this is ridiculous!! I love that it substituted "rubbish" for my 4 letter word
  17. http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/386229/bedzie-wielki-skandal-w-zielonej-gorze-unibax-nie-chce-przystapic-do-meczu Seems as though Torun want a 2 week postponement to include Gollob ! C'mon guys.
  18. Nice to see Magic NOT doing a "Miedzinski" on Laguta there and giving him a hard, fair race with room, and still coming out ahead. A lesson there Adrian!
  19. Watching Seb Ulamek as an analyst on the Polish coverage, and hearing his excellent English from the Elite match last week, it strikes me that he would be a super "companion" to David Rowes commentary on your UK feed. Very lucky if he doesn't have a cracked rib from that one.
  20. If only Polish fans could be as enthusiastic and animated as those on the Elite League terraces. This is building up to a nice tight finish.
