As Brits living in Sweden we took our Union Jack and went to cheer on the British Team. It was good to see a British team for the first time in the EM U19 as they proudly rode for their country. They all rode really well and battled to the finish line. The experience can only be to their advantage. We thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Well done boys.

Mark said he gave it a good go but it was tough out there. He broke his frame yesterday in practice and spent the night welding it. Not a great weekend. Now for the long trek home and back to work Monday morning.

What a great post. I totally agree. One rider also showed last night that you can win from all gate positions. Crump also watched and then went out to win on yellow. Holta won off of white after Emil showed how it was done. It is also interesting to watch the riders in the presentation at the start of each GP. Check out their body language and you can predict who will be in the final. Last night, the only riders who looked up for it were Gollob, Holta & Emil.

To get progression you have to take chances and Rob Lyon took a chance tonight, ignoring all the contoversy. The team were great and were not afraid to mix it with the greats, such as Gollob. Danny King showed his true form and Chris Harris was hungry to show the others the way, especially with a joker in his hand. Hats off to the boys. The young team have shown that they can hold their own. Without looking at points, the racing was superb. With this experience, the team can build on their experience for next year. It's the only way forward. Looking forward to a great final on Saturday with the Poles and the Russians, who both go well at Leszno. -
World Cup - Event 1
Mrs mark246 replied to wizard's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'm not surprised by the Russians. Check out the Polish leagues and you will see how well they have been riding this season. Last years SWC, they showed us what they were capable of, so it's only a matter of time until they dominate the speedway scene. Don't they want to hold GPs in Togliatti? Apparently they have a fantastic stadium. Nicolai Klindt showed he was ready for the Danish squad with 8 points tonight. Hans said he was up for it and he sure was, bless. Looking forward to a great final next Saturday.
