  1. Yes, Wow what a meeting. Took out the subscription. Well worth 13 Euros just for this meeting alone!!!!

Excellent work THE DAVES!!!! & the Motottv crew.

Thought Ref Topinka bottled a couple of calls. Jell should have been excluded at turn 1 crash. Svensson rode inside track in one heat & Huusko caused Weber crash. In my opinion.

Best Ice meet I have seen.

Bet it was a great atmosphere in Inzell after the meeting.

  2. What a joke!!!! 2 riders finish on equal points & we should have had a run off for 2nd & the FIM award on countback.

The commentators at their live official feed didn`t even know it.

Could have been a great ending to the World Championship. Already messed up the scoring system now having reduced the World Championship from 23 heats to 21 heats they bring this in. It really need someone in the organisation with a bit of back bone to stand up for the sport rather a bunch of yes people!!!

    Glad I didn`t bother going.

Spent an enjoyable weekend in Finland, to take in this event. A packed crowd in the grandstand and open back straight seating had a great time, in what may well be the final such event in the stadium.

Mats Järf showed his quality in being the ultimate winner following an opening heat collision with  Atte Suolammi, which left him writhing on the ice in a great deal of pain, for several minutes. Following an ambulance ride he returned for the rerun.

Possible premeeting favourite  Max Koivula, never recovered from an opening heat ef, and another in his third ride before showing his quality with a showboating win in his final race. This left Järf, the deserved winner coming from the back in each race to claim the title.  My predicted winner, Heikki Huusko, following a great start gradually slipped back to finish 4th, as Järf, went in the opposite direction to take the spoils,

There are the semi-final+final races on youtube.

Also, just registered on the fim moto tv. for the Gladiators meetings this weekend. Pretty straight forward should anyone be interested.

My bruv, from Swindon with Robins prog board, now living in Adelaide, was there. Said meeting was held up for nearly an hour because of bad crash. Ellis won final by wheel, and Woffy put on a performance. Old Swindon 1-2:)

Isn`t that weird. I`m a Swindon follower since 1976. Went to Gillman in 2008 on holiday & saw a few meetings. Ivan Mauger Meeting (won by Philip Sitera) was one. Also managed to get to Murray Bridge (Cars + sidecars no bikes unfortunately. Plus International WSS series on the Boxing day. They were good. Drivers came over from USA & New Zealand for the series.

I was looking at this scenario the other day. I would say Weber is odds on based on his performance in the opening rounds but both Haarahultinen and Iwema could do it. I bet Harald Simon is kicking himself now that he couldn't ride in Russia.

Yes, Weber in a great position to be crowned World Champion. Though Harald Simon is 3rd in the European Championship with hopefully the top 2 not being allowed to ride!!!

The Netherlands are certainly lifting restrictions. Fingers crossed but it's getting to fairly short notice for ticket sales etc.

Apparently, I was told by a resident that Heerenveen ICE Arena is allowing 33% capacity for this weekend`s ICE hockey match. Prior to this no crowd was allowed.

  7. Been going since 2012 & I get the standard bus from the Airport (run about 1/2 hourly) which drops at bus & train station. Buses about hourly & take 1 hour. Or trains about the same. Check koleo.pl for train times but if your hotel is in/near the square get off at Torun miasto NOT Glowny. As its the other side of the bridge. I usually go by bus (£2 each way). And about 60p on bus from airport to Bydgoszcz centre. The bus stop is out of the airport turn left walk past the taxis & the stop is on the left.

Can`t go this year & have a ticket for Saturday opposite the side line lower section. Happy to give away BUT would ask in return for you to get me 3 x Torun GP programmes & post them to me in Gloucester. If anyone can make use of it let me know. First come etc.

    Have a great time!!!!
