Paisley raced their 'home' fixtures at Coatbridge, then followed the Tigers mid-season when they moved to Blantyre. 1977 was the inaugural season for the SJL, and from the programmes I have from that year it seems that they did have some problems with fixture congestion, which may explain the meeting at Berwick you mention.
