I predict that the top 4 teams will be in a play off. The 5th team Ipswich will finish bottom ! 😲

Top three teams progress to the play-offs (All play-off ties raced over two legs)
The league leaders go straight to the Final, whilst the second and third-placed teams will contest the semi-final...

Well it been another couple of weeks, beginning to think all is not well in negotiations, how much longer? It past ridiculous at the end of January

It's March 1st on Sunday. If we don't hear nothing by then, I think we can presume things are not going to plan...

I am not sure the riders pay is the reason for the stadiums closing and there being no teams left. Most were kicked out because they weren't worth having there. Teams should have been smarter with their money about bought land/stadiums in the early sky years when they had money to burn. I still also think it should I have to one team per rider across all leagues (not just UK, but overall) and then introduced some continental meetings. This would have allowed all teams to race domestically on the weekends and allowed more room for TV deals and midweek racing against foreign clubs which would prevent against racing the same teams all the time.

Many promoters from the 70's onwards made a lot of money from speedway. Very few, if any, put some of that money into the future of their clubs or British speedway in general...

What we say on here will have zero effect. I for one will be going, when the Lions aren't racing, as it's only an hour down the road but it's very high risk. I can see the first season being a relative success, due to novelty factor, the limited fixtures these days and probably most importantly the catchment of defunct and existing tracks (Leicester, Coventry, Peterborough, Oxford, Birmingham) all within an hours travel.

    Good luck to 'em 🤞

I think regularly attracting any worthwhile amount of supporters from defunct tracks is a myth...

Doesn't have a massive hitter but it looks rock solid.

    1. T. Brennan 7.05

    2. R. Tungate 5.89

    3. R. Lawson 6.81

    4. D. King 6.50 or N. Klindt 6.46

    5. T. Musielak 6.63

    6. J. Thorssell 4.50

    7. J. Edwards (RS)

    = 36.98 / 36.94

You might want to revise that, because Scotty is in the team...

I’m not sure now that a national marketing campaign would do much good, I think clubs need to market better in the local area to get back lost fans.

My local track is Oxford, now when I buy a ticket I need to input my email address. I have never received any email from them advising me of what meetings are coming up or asking me how my experience was. They must have thousands of email addresses that they could reach out too and have so many potential customers they could contact in one easy way with offers to get them to attend again.

I will say the information they supply on the WhatsApp group is very good though.

Unfortunately quite a few of those lost fans are probably dead...

Does anyone trust the BBC anymore?

It is their post that quotes 'within two weeks' even though if you read the statement made by Chris it's says 'with the coming weeks'

    A small yet significant difference

I do agree however we must now be close to either a full statement or at very least an update as to why there is a delay

'Should' was the magic word they used. Words like 'could, should, may and might' are not normally worth the paper they are written on...
