  1. waiting for the FIM to announce their full statement first I guess - they have until March 15th - unless he's already been given advance notice of what it says?!
  2. Big new £1,7 million (10 mill zloty?) sponsorship announced for Polish Extraleague. Lets hope some of it goes to those riders left out of pocket last year!!
  3. Good articles in this week's SS Philip. The only thing I think maybe incorrect is that 'any appeal by Darcy must be lodged within 21 days of the FIM penalty statement', whereas the statement actually says 'within 21 days of the date of receipt of the full reasoned CDI decision'! - which is yet to be issued as far as I'm aware?! Please correct me if I'm reading it wrongly.
  4. Didn't the SS do exactly the same with Dudek, even though he doesn't race in the UK? What are they supposed to do - hide the story away and hope people don't see it?? That would doubtless create another 300+ pages of 'unfair journalism' BS!!
  5. We don't know - maybe, maybe not?! Depends on what comes out in the statements (FIM and Ward's) and whether there are still any questions to be asked/answered. I guess an indication of that will be whether Ward decides to appeal based on what the statement says.
  6. But we don't know all the reasoning because the FIM have not yet published it!!! (As stated on the Poole thread - read the FIM statement again.) The punishment of 'only 10 months backdated' may be because there were some other factors? As I've said right from the outset I do not condone his stupidity - but everyone is entitled to a fair hearing, with all the circumstances being aired and published so that unbiased comment can be made. And Darcy has '21 days from the date of the full reasoned CDI decision' to appeal if required.
  7. Ah 20 years time - that'll be when Tai has gone home to Oz I guess.
  8. If Rob Lyon chose Coventry then he's less of a good manager than I thought. The Bees were the 'form' team with no injury worries going into the play-offs - hence they got to the final!
  9. Quite right FB, to win the play-offs a team has to beat 2 of the other 3 teams. Poole beat Kings Lynn and Coventry. job done. end of.
  10. Nice try. I especially like the CSI reference. By the way, how old are you??
  11. Just for a moment I thought you were talking about many of the post(er)s on the forum?! Silly me!!
  12. What is in black and white as you put it makes no reference to any club - its a statement about Ward!
  13. Man Utd suspended Cantona for something he did whilst playing for Man Utd - entirely different to the Ward situation, so stop stirring.
  14. Who's to say it didn't work though!!?? Matt and Middlo are away skiing with some of Poole's sponsors!!
  15. Just re-read the FIM statement, which is only concerned with the offence and the punishment, rather than any 'reasoning' behind it!! That is still to come in a later FIM statement. There must be some factual reasoning as to why the ban was 10 months, rather than the max of 2 years?! Await with interest.......................
  16. Yes I blame a momentary brain freeze with the excitement of a Ward return in July. I apologise on the Poole thread too!! Its not an MA decision, its BSI's.
  17. So Czestochowa and Gdansk both bankrupt and thrown out of all Polish leagues!! All is not so rosy in Poland after all.
  18. So with Darcy's points against Leicester home and away (8+3 and 5 respectively) being expunged - does that mean he'll have a lower average when he's available on 29th June?
  19. It would - although I'm sure that many of the 'it will take 45 days for a decision' merchants will probably disagree!!
  20. Lots of special admission offers and more fans at speedway meetings!
  21. Perhaps the 2 bikes that Bomber was getting for him proved to be so good that Bomber kept them?!
