Did anyone seriously think he would make a difference ... that is anyone who knew him. He's a likeable guy but Buster Chapman running British Speedway. I don't think so. Trouble is, within the sport as it stands, there are few other worthwhile candidates. Unless you know better.

That's the point. Who allowed him to have his own lap of honour? Next thing is we'll have lap of honours for all "local' favourites at their home track, even if they finish 9th. It's a ridiculous gesture not a decent one. T*****.

No need to apologise - but didn't Chapman junior have a positive approach when he was involved at both Lynn and with the shared events. What happened to that positivity?

That's a pathetic comment. Chapman junior actually had some excellent ideas of how to improve speedway's lot. But the dinosaurs (and his dad is one of them) wouldn't have a young whippersnapper telling them what to do. There's absolutely no chance of the sport ever getting out of this downward spiral without fresh ideas and faces - but you just keeping telling yourself how good it is.

Poor camera work? How about the commentary - or should I say expert analyser. Why oh why do ES persist with Sam Ermolenko - he speaks a language all of his own. And I'm not sure even he understands it!

So Sandhu should never have been allowed into speedway? Er, I don't think he was. He bought a stadium that staged speedway with a view to using it for housing. That was 12 years ago - to be honest we are lucky to have got to 2016 with speedway still on the site. Had it not been for the morons running the sport, he would probably still be in charge and the Bees flourishing. Unlike Horton, he was supporter friendly, despite his initial reasons for buying Brandon. As for not running a whelk stall, I think you'll find he has been far more successful in business than any current speedway promoter. I fully understand your dismay but there are some silly statements in that piece.

Why would they pull the plug in October when there was still even a minute chance of Coventry running ....

Nobody on here really knows the truth - will we ever? I am not condoning Sandhu but I still firmly believe that the snake in the grass is Horton. Let's face it, he has previous in these matters. I don't think he is being entirely truthful here.
