What a great start to the weekend with TEAM GB winning the SON ,and it was a shame the football team coulnt follow suit,but my question is does anyone outside of speedway know team GB are world champs,because quite frankly the press coverage of us winning the event is pathetic to say the least!!!Now i know there would be no talk of a public holiday!!!!!! i like they were talking about the England football team but surely MORE could have been done in the press to jump on the band wagon so to speak and raise the profile of the sport.Even the GB squad are sponsored by the daily star but they had little or n o coverage,so im just wondering if any of our friends from around the world had any mentions of the event in their country,either on national TV or the papers and what on earth Speedway has to do to get in the spotlight,it just seems knowbody is bothered.Now the question that most proberly people will fire back to me is speedway has lost the plot and is not popular enough,but then how do sports like hockey get a full page write up in the press when surely speedway has more going for it then hockey,or evan table tennis got a mention the other day in the press!!!!It would be interesting to hear any thoughts of fans in Poland ,Denmark or Sweden what the press think of speedway and what on earth can be done to change the way people in the press think of our sport as winning and being top of the world in a sport doesnt do a damm thing to get speedway in the spotlight.Im at a loss for words how speedway is looked at.

Just wondering what happened to Busters son ? Is he still involved in the speedway,and how do the chapmans make their money away from speedway?

Maybe Poole fans will put me right but i still cant believe how well Leon Madsen has done,I thought he was a very average rider,and didnt race in the UK that long,but the next thing i remember was watching him in Poland a few years later and i just thought what.............is this the same rider i saw in the uk.I never so that kind of progress coming and fair play to him,he still is producing top quality racing week in week out.

I get that someone has to make the call,but if any match should try and push for the meeting to be on surely its got to be against your local rivals,i know hanging it out maybe against a northern teams,yes for the sake of the fans travel,but come on its plymouth,im sure they could have tried harder,have they not got the use of the old greyhound covers that maybe would have come in handy.We are in may and surely you have to try to take advantage of the time of year,i know this meeting isnt pushed back to late september,but what if it was? Now im just having a dig in general NOT AT POOLE fans but surely even they can see its a strange call off .And one final thought this type of thing is getting all too easy to do,who can make the call to call the meeting off? I see Oxford most weeks the weather has been naff but they are prepared to give it a go.

I dont want the bookmaker to know im asking questions but where is Zagar riding this year? Is he fully up to speed,match ready,as this bookmaker doent normally drop clangers with his spreads,does he know something we dont?!!!!!.Again keep it quiet i like to think us punters are always one step ahead of this Bookmaker!!!!

Been happily living in stropshire ,his 2 girls are at school here,one of them famous for doing a question and answering video with dad.BUT as you said he is going to be snapped up by another club and putting two and two together i get a feeling ..........

although they lost yesterday was voted sponsors man of the match yesterday even though they messed up in heat 15 ,but rode really well.dont forget last August he was in a big crash that left him in a neck brace for quite some time.

speedway merry go round has started!!! ANYONE know which clubs Riss and Klindt belong too.I gotta a feeling Klingt will be back in the british league very soon maybe with a club he didnt want to move from!!!

OK you just dont get it. Its gonna happen to you what with tech advances,so you turn up at a race meeting and find out 2 riders this time are banned from the meeting,and the team is using R/R. yes i KNOW its the worst case scenario,but i want you to understand not only the meeting will be a shambles,fans will not be happy,and they are the ones paying for it.If you are bringing in tests BEFORE the meeting there has to be a plan B for the fans.

The bottom line is,the tests at the start of the meeting are great and im sure everyone welcomes randam testing,there a few posters on here that get what im trying to say.PRE MATCH testing is quite new,and we are going to have the same problems again when the next rider fails a test.All im trying to explain and maybe not too well,is that this is a new practice,and sooner or later its going to happen again.100% punish the rider,BUT NOT THE FANS.I havnt got the answer but the people who are carrrying out the tests,must have thought this through and come up with a solution surely. ie GREAT TESTING RIDER OR RIDERS FOUND GUILTY AND BANNED TO RIDE ON THE NIGHT PLAN B PUT INTO OPERATION FOR THE TEAM WITH BANNED RIDER OR RIDERS SO THE MEETING CAN TAKE PLACE WITH 4 RIDER RACES.THAT PLAN B AT THE MOMENT IS ...........................?!!!!!!!

I get what you are saying of course i do,but when its a team sport fans want to see 4 riders in EVERY heat.As i said before i pick my matches if i think the teams are equally matched i might get on the road a drive miles to watch,this is not about Lee Complin its about watching team racing .If it was a superstar rider that wasnt allowed to race then what,or a team were already using R/R,then what.Luckily this match was still tight but even that i love to come to places like Berwick,its making me think im under valued as a fan.The testing is great ,dont get me wrong but im just talking from a fans point of view.
