  1. Why "no" to everything? If he gets a ban and serves it, then there's no reason why he shouldn't be given both. He's one of the best riders in the World and would improve the gate in Australia.

He needs to earn it and show he wants it by doing it that way. Don't care if one of the best riders in the world. Plenty more good ones to watch now and in the future. He has let the fans and his teams down so many times now he needs to work hard to regain peoples respect.

  2. Lets ASSUME Darcy gets his suspension turned into a ban.... a 12 month riding ban dated back to the date he was suspended, meaning he can ride again toward the end of 2015, if he wants to.

    1) Should he be given the Wild Card no 16 jacket for the 2015 Australian GP

    .........................................................................................................................

    2) Should he be given one of the four permanent 2016 GP Wild Cards?

    What do you think?

    No and No.

  3. Not at all, most of us just find it pathetic how everyone associated with Poole are waiving the 'victim' status over Ward (he should be in Liverpool!). If, as it appears he is guilty I personally think a ban taking into account time served suspended should be made, meaning he gets his slap on the wrist but is green lighted to ride again.

I support Poole so your wrong there and any ban should not be suspended.

  4. Equally there will be uproar amongst Darcy' s sycophants if they deem his punishments to be too harsh.

To the vast majority the only imortant thing is that any ban should be fair in other words consistent with the current tariff for that type of offence with no suggestion that he has been treated either too harsh or too lenient because of who he is.

Indeed, 12 or 18 month ban would be correct if guilty.

  5. The FIM will be double checking all the evidence from the event and the recent hearing. They will be checking with WADA in regard if the sentence given is correct and lenght or if he is to be let off.

They do not want any come back from WADA or Ward so they will be making sure the verdict is 100 % correct.

This however takes time and if it upsets the rider or his suck up fans then its TOUGH !!!!

  6. SOME comments here are getting a little out of hand. He certainly didn't have eight pints before his lunch. I was there, in the pits, at the riders' briefing when his number was called, outside the room where the test was carried out. The metre reading was not made public nor in private to anyone other than those who had a right to know. But to suggest that he was drunk - in the obvious manner than Stefan Danno was in Bydgoszcz all those years ago (was also there) - is simply not true.

I understand and fully accept that over the limit is over the limit but 'drunk' seems to suggest that he was slurring his words and falling about which certainly wasn't the case.

My own view is that panic set in at the time and his immediate comments (re-hydration, parents splitting) and actions (limping out of the pits) were very ill-judged and his 'advisers' in situ didn't know what to do. They couldn't just spirit him away because he was obligated to attend a Jury Meeting after the conclusion of the event.

In hindsight it would have been better for Ward to simply admit that he had had a drink the previous evening but was shocked by the failed test and would be making no further comment until the FIM had confirmed, in writing, that they were completely satisfied the tests were carried out correctly, the calibration of the machine used verified by the proper authorities and what the next steps would be.

Since then this whole episode has developed a life of its own... not least in the 245 pages here.

Indeed he has not covered himself in Glory and should of been up front from the start. But some wouldnt know the truth if it smacked umm in the face and that's why we are now where we are.

  7. Bloody hell u can't compare these tragedies with Darcy. Actually if anything, because of what can happen in this sport, gives more strength to Darcy's case to race again.

Think you need your head testing !!!! More strength to his case ???? I think it is an insult using his name when you are referring to these other riders.
