They would need to dump Payne to do that unless they have a re shuffle further down which I very much doubt they will as once Bewlwey moves up one will get and easy ride. At the moment it does look like Connor has shot himself in the foot, stabbed himself in the back and stubbed his toe on the kitchen table all at the same time.

The problem is he can't make changes now as he's limited on options as to weather he can find a number 1 or not and if he can't he could have just made the team a whole lot weaker.....
-
Obviously backing Perks and Kelsey on this one I think Hume and Shanes will do well also....
-
Anyone know how Hughes is as I don't have Facebook and he doesn't seem to do Twitter and the club haven't given us an update? He could be back in 6 weeks so run r/r for him and once Knight is at 1 he will come back at 5 if he wants to....
-
Well we can safely say Nielsen was going to be new number 1 but Plymouth reopening ballsed it all up
-
his average is over 4 but there is only 1 double up meeting I think and if he wants to double up I think he has to sign NL first
-
That's what I thought
-
Stefan Nielsen 9.24 if Plymluth aren't going
-
Had it been my 9.88 then I thought the same. I also think that when you start on a 3.00 average you can ride NL until it goes above 4.00 in Brads situation he's placed in on a 5.00 average so I think he should be able to still ride NL until he increases it by a point as he's not heads and shoulders above waj and Morley ect.
-
If that's the case who is it? Because of they are only an 8 pointer we needn't have got rid of hopwood.... Boxall has no pl team. Other riders have averages over 4 in the PL like Morris but it might be that it's only just over 4
-
9.5 I believe ish
-
He isn't riding PL tho....
-
I'm sorry but Hurry is 40..... He's going no further in speedway whereas Boxall is 28 ish and will be more likely to do something. Hurry is a big risk
-
With the reserve situation though it's easier to get around as you just put them in at number 8 so they don't ride in the meeting but are still part of the club. I think Ellis has a little way to go to be an out and out number 1 and having him in the lower order makes us stronger.
-
Bang on what I mean! Tom Perry and Nathan Greaves have NL spots. I'd say Jacobs too low. We thought knight would have bad machinery and if that is the problem with Boxall Eagles will give him the stuff. I thought Nielsen maybe or what about Ashley Birks?

Just read Facebook comments but don't own Facebook and have seen the comments by Paul wood, I hope you read this forum. I agree with you saying it's harsh on Hopwood but to say this league is for bringing on new talent and dumping hopwood for perks is wrong I totally disagree with. Perks has a lot more to come than hopwood and is more likely to develop than hopwood. To say we have no young talent in our team is also wrong, Georgie wood and now Ellis perks shows we have some up and comings and we are working hard with Phillips and Powell. At the end of the day you are right this league is for developing young riders and the team change has made our team better at doing that by introducing a young upcoming rider in his second full season. And it wouldn't be called a league of you weren't here to win it!
-
could do but he's a bit low and would leave is under point limit
-
Re all the comments on Facebook- yes it's harsh only after a week of the season but we cannot keep a team that is without a number 1, I think it would do hopwood no good if we kept him and put him at number 1 as it would lower his confidence being beaten by lots of strong number 1s. I'm sure there is little if hard feelings between him and connor as he hasn't told him to "piss off" and Ben knows to well that this is part of the game of speedway and those commenting now saying it's awful will be the first to moan when we don't make the playoffs.
-
What is Stefan Nielsens average?
-
I make it 9.88 left..... Who could it be......
-
If this new number 1 is good then I don't think we will see anymore changes this season except for injury. Although I would have given hopwood a couple more weeks as he didn't have his good engine in recently. On the other hand you know that when you sign for Eastbourne they will get the best out of you or dump you off....
-
I wonder what is going on he's come up with 2 riders but isn't telling us.....
-
Ellis perks has signed up! However Hopwood has gone!?
-
I can only think perks had turned Connor down as surely he would have called him, but why would he do that? I think with perks, Knight and wood are a formidable pairing we are looking solid in the top end.
-
Jake Knight- Brilliant Georgie wood- Brilliant Hopwood- solid Powell- good ending some bad luck, sounds a bit kamakazi but he will learn Phillips- getting there Perks .................... Sign on the dotted line please. Coventry lost two men but let's be honest they weren't going to change the score by that much late on as they weren't having the meeting of their lives. Carr and Greenwood are two good heat leaders but why is terry Daley at no3?
