  1. I was in the cafe at AFA Thursday at midday the track was absolutely flooded and ripped up. I heard Rory's mechanic say to the other guy doing the track "I have ripped it for you and been watering since early this morning, make sure you keep up with watering as I need to go now." Its obvious the other guy did not keep up with the watering. No wonder Rory's mechanic looked puzzled when there was dust in heat 1.
  2. Unfortunately for myself I have been to Poole more times than I care to remember, and i have at least two more visits there this year.
  3. Well startman now this I interesting. I arrived at the stadium early, the fence was washed, as for the rubbers they were also pulled out. What you fail to realize you idiot, is that the staff were concerned about the weather, the track had to have all the dirt removed twice due to heavy rain. So excuse buster if the rubbers got pushed under slightly, rather that the have the meeting cancelled. Considering the rain that fell the track was in good shape and provided good racing. Unlike rubbishebourne road, couple drops of rain and all the holes on the straights fill with water. Don't get me wrong poole has a good club, stadium is ok but the track resembles something a 3 year with a tonka truck could construct in a sand pit. Well startman now this I interesting. 4. Its not easy to the foreign riders to get things sorted in the UK. Yes clubs can find a mechanic for them, but not all of them are lucky enough to have their own workshop. I noticed last year at kings Lynn NKI, Rory and Kerr never arrived at the track in the van, mechanics were always alone. So I'm guessing these have their own workshops. If my memory serves right, when Larsen was at Peterborough he had Rorys mechanic working for him. So I would imagine Peterborough done a deal there. Larsen is a quality rider who has yet to show the Uk what he can do, before he got injured while riding for Peterborough he was absolutely flying and knocking in big scores every where. Maybe he is interested in coming back, if so please KL promotion try and do a deal.
  5. ELD should not be consigned to the elite league. This draft scheme should start in the NL, once a rider reaches the number 1 position in the team, why not then move into a PL team reserve spot so the rider can achieve the natural progression route. This way the rider would gain far more experience. The Elite league is supposed to be the strongest league in the UK, but is it? British youngsters need nurturing along the progression route, not thrown in at the deep end and be protected. The teams who a few certain people think bent rules etc to win, are nothing more than shrewd business men who are one step ahead of the rest.
  6. Unfortunately the whole blame is on British speedway itself!!! Over the years look what has happened to the sport, no wonder fans are dwindling away. BSPA should take a long look at the sport get rid of this EDR scheme as its a complete joke in its self, none of the riders benefit from it. The should also scrap the total average for team building, if a club can afford to put a team together with superstars so be it. I agree the number 7 should be a British rider. Speedway is the only sport I can recall where you get penalized for doing well, ie. You win the league, the next season the team gets torn apart because the riders averages are too high. For all who mentioned the state of tracks nowadays, absolutely nothing wrong with KL track, its never been altered in anyway, problem is that riders only know how to race throttle wide open, they seem to have forgotten throttle control. As fans we need entertaining on race night, please just do something a little bit different to create an atmosphere.
  7. Well done to all the boys involved in this meeting, after a difficult weekend. Coventry was a tester for the KL boys, with some riders really struggling to get to grips with the track. One thing I find hard to understand is young Robert, pulled out of the Cob meeting on medical grounds, yet less than 24 hours later he is riding at Rye House, a track you have to turn hard. Yet 15 point maximum, with no sign of any ill effects. Again less than 24 hours he pulls out of another meeting, unfortunately he has not been the signing Peterborough had wished for. Has been in fine form for KL. Morris is showing signs of improvement, Porsing has shown what he is capable of, looks much more comfortable on the bike. Milik on the other hand does not look comfortable on the bike, from the outside it looks like he has to over ride the bike. Bjerre still shows what he can do, and then in another ride goes backwards. Just hope Sunday's events don't effect him too much.
  8. What a difference a few days makes. The KL team were in a different class for this one. A reshuffle in riding order, riders moved in pit bays, all resulted in a fantastic performance. Great to see Rory back where he belongs, had to look twice at one point, as I saw him sitting in his chair in the pits chatting to his mechanic. Has he loaned his mechanic to Porsing for the remainder of the season, lets hope so!!! What ever he did to porsings bikes worked, for the first time this season Nick was on the pace and fast. Great team effort boys.
  9. Should be an easy win for KL. But the boys need to meet expectations. Porsing needs to do well, he is capable, Bjerre is more than capable if his head is in the right place. Milik should settle in fairly quick. That just leaves young Morris to get into gear and Robert Lambert to wind his neck in, and stop thinking he is an undisputed super star. A serious change in his attitude is needed.
  10. Dirt deflector should not have been removed from the bike until the meeting had finished. Team Lambert throwing their toys out, cost the KL team points. Wouldn't last 5mins in polish league with attitude and behaviour like that.
