Rules for 2026, taken from SVEMO track racing FB page: New rules ready for the BAUHAUS league 2026–2027 Featured Image Elitspeedway Sweden (ESS) and the Swedish Motorcycle Association (SVEMO) have agreed on a new set of rules for the BAUHAUS league. The rules apply for the 2026–2027 seasons and are an important step towards creating a long-term and sustainable development for Swedish speedway. – In recent years, there has been an ongoing dialogue between the clubs to find reasonable ways forward to avoid more clubs ending up in financial problems, while at the same time we want to protect the sporting product and the opportunity to build Swedish speedway, says ESS chairman Mikael Holmstrand. This dialogue has had difficulty leading to anything concrete as the clubs' circumstances have differed greatly in recent years. At the same time, the league is now faced with the fact that a number of clubs have announced that they will have to withdraw from the series if nothing happens and a few more clubs believe that a "cooling off" of the economic development would be needed for the clubs to feel good in the long term. – We must act to protect the league and no longer have time to continue just talking. That is why this year I have sat down directly with Svemo and reported on the clubs' situation and opinions in order to then directly agree on adjusted rules together with the association. We simply cannot stand by and see the entire league jeopardized while the clubs' mutual positions are relatively locked, Holmstrand continues. The new rules aim to give clubs greater flexibility both sportingly and financially, while the focus is on strengthening Swedish speedway and giving more Swedish drivers the opportunity to establish themselves in the league. – The focus in the work on the rules has been to create sporting and economic flexibility where it should be possible to save money and/or be able to compete even with a slightly lower budget. In addition to this, we also have a responsibility for Swedish speedway in general and our Swedish drivers. Here, not everything can be done at once, but we have to start somewhere. The work has been characterized by compromises, but the ambition is that both stronger and weaker clubs will be able to develop and contribute to an attractive league. – It has been a very demanding job with a lot of emotions and thoughts from the clubs, which of course happens when compromises are made and everyone has had to give up some of their wishes. The stronger clubs will still have advantages from their status and position, which they should have, while the weaker teams will get some time to build their organization and finances, which is also an opportunity that we now expect these clubs to take advantage of. We have good examples to learn from in the league and when we organized the ESS board from this year by having all the club chairmen represent their club, we have received a clear boost in the dialogue and consensus, says Mikael. The new rules will create stability, development and new opportunities – both for the clubs and for the sport in general. – The rules for 2026-2027 will not do everything and the main responsibility still lies with the clubs' governance, but we believe that this creates a space that combines financial control while enabling more Swedes to establish themselves in the top league as well as allowing us to keep our strongest profiles and stars in the clubs to meet the sporting expectations of the public and sponsors. And regardless of what you think of the changes, we can be absolutely sure that the alternative of doing nothing at all would have been considerably worse, concludes Holmstrand. Review of rules for the 2026-2027 seasons Cut: – Ceiling cut: 10,500 (previously 11,00) – Floor cut: 8,000 (previously 8,500) Squad: – Max 7 drivers in the squad over 1.249 in their own (previously 8 over 1.000). – Continued 3 transfer cards – Simplify short-term loans so that they are counted on the starting average. – Short-term loans may replace all drivers in the team, including foreign ones, but replacement Swedish drivers may have a maximum of 1.249 in starting average. – 28-day replacements are written out of squads that do not make the playoffs – Only starting averages are counted on RR, 28-day, short-term loans, ceiling and floor averages as the squad is built from the starting average. Focus on Swedish drivers: – Swedish drivers with an average of up to 1.249 are not counted in the squad (2025: 1.000). – The team lineup must contain at least 2 Swedish-licensed drivers with an starting average that is a maximum of 1.249, which means that they start the season in a reserve position. – Official average is obtained after 10 heats run and placement in the team line-up is then done after running averages. – The driving schedule is adjusted so that the first nomination heat (heat 14 today) is removed and replaced with an extra reserve heat. – Reserve may be exchanged for the second reserve a maximum of 1 time and only when inferior by at least 6 points. Other notable rules: – R/R max 2 times during the regular season on Friday/Tuesday (4 times in 2025). – Entry averages from Ekstraliga are calculated with a conversion factor of 1.1 (2025: 1.0). – By 2027, an inventory of the number and averages of the Swedish drivers will be taken in order to possibly adjust the average limit for the two mandatory Swedes for the coming season

There is, it's at the end of the back straight, heading into turn 3. If you're in Sektor B, you are not there, you have the whole of the 4th bend to choose from, and I'd advise being there early to get the best seats. Plan to be at your seat 2 hours before the start.

I suggest Sektor B, coming off the 4th bend. These are unmarked seats, meaning if you get there early, you choose your seat.

They have a lot of them! I was in Bydgoszcz for the meeting v Leszno earlier this season and I was ready to buy 3 tickets for the back straight grandstand the moment the sales started. They literally disappeared in front of my eyes in 5 seconds! There were probably only about 30% availability (the rest were obviously season ticket holders) but by the time I'd clicked three seats together they'd all gone.. Therefore in the end I had to make do with tickets on the home straight coming off the 4th bend, which were actually fine. But even there, they disappeared very quickly. I'd advise having your passport number (s) ready to input well before the moment they are released. Go straight in and click the seat(s) and add the details ASAP and pay as soon as they are available. Good luck!
