  9. Hello Halifaxtiger, I agree this rule appears to be unclearly written. However, surely the key word is 'latest'? Is the highlighting of the second sentence your own? If so then, without highlights, it reads as if the second sentence would apply only if the rider held averages from both leagues in the same season. It would appear to make more sense that way. As a hypothetical example, a rider might have been at the peak of his form in a Premier league side in 2011 but over the course of 5 years (a long time in a rider's career?) picked up injuries, got older (!), semi-retired to a NL side and performed less well. Why then should his earlier average apply if he is no longer the rider he was? (Casting no aspersions on Adam Roynon of course ) John
  10. To put the O/P's initial statement in some perspective, there were two members of the Plymouth forum who were making remarks which a Somerset fan might take offence to. Two. There is of course a local rivalry between the two teams but this is, like all rivalries between speedway fans that I have encountered, friendly. I suggest you grow a thicker skin Buttons.
  11. Wasn't it last season (maybe the one before) that Newman came off at the Showground down the back straight? It was thought he'd broken his leg. Doesn't seem to be a lucky track for him!
  12. Fantastic work from all the new committee at Plymouth. Great to see the team ride again last night at Somerset...with that familiar feeling of proud disappointment in the result, but hey-ho ;-)
  13. Thanks everyone for messages of support for the Devils. Please check out the Plymouth Devils forum and particularly the threads on the link below where you will be able to learn how you could give us even more of a helping hand #speedwayfamily http://plymouthdevils.proboards.com/board/59/save-plymouth-speedway
