Unfortunately you will have to quarantine for 10 days at a cost of 1700 quid in a Pompey hotel on your return

Disappointed that none of these top west country sides aren't in Premiership, much poorer without this trio of trophy winners.

As my local track, Swindon, arent running, I'll support Dad's Army this season. Hansi Andersen, Pedersen, Scotty, Bomber....Up the Panzers

Very true, my work colleague in Swindon has only been to one speedway meeting, the last Cardiff GP. He thought it was excellent. Disappointed it's not on again this year. -

Great to watch Don Rogers on Saturday afternoon and Martin Ashby Saturday evening late 60s According to Briggo Crash should have been World Champion. Quiet modest character, spoke to him at his workshop in Marlborough a few years ago. Was a regular on the Abbey terraces. -
Followed the Dons in 66, Olle at number 1 along with Luckhurst, Hedge, etc., only Briggo the World Champion, The Boococks, and Nordin were ahead of him. R.I.P

Big Ron, fellow cockney, Ackney and West Am United fan, always had time for a chat on the Blunsdon terraces. That sunburnt bald pate tearing round the Swindon track on his tractor.
-
No he wasn't at SE14 in 1963, I just asked him on FB. Was a Southampton Saint. Great photo of GB team of Briggs, Mauger, Moore, Boococks, Wilson, Hedge and Reg.
-
Was Reg in the 63 Rangers team? Speak to him on Facebook messenger.

New Cross Rangers v Ackney Awks 1963, dont know how many are still with us? Obviously Geoff Penniket is as Bobbath mentioned.

On today a glass top coffee table covered in 70s speedway badges was sold for 100 quid...excellent.

If Swindon don't re-open what a great last meeting at Blunsdon that was..Double Winners and hundreds chanting and singing..unforgettable evening

Champions for 2 out of past 3 years, more famous for the back straight bog crew

Swindon attract fans from Southampton, Bristol, Basingstoke, Oxford, Reading, Surrey, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bath, Newport, so up to 60 mile radius, far bigger catchment area than the football club.
-
It is strange Vue struggle with crowds, must have catchment area of 6 million ish!? far more than any other club
