  1. An interesting point, and I honestly don't know the answer. That said, it is not stated specifically in this year's regulations that that is the case. What it does say is:- If you redeclare due to a rider being injured, then that rider cannot be brought back into the team for 28 days. If the replacement rider gets injured BEFORE his first meeting in the team then the team can return to the original team declaration. No team changes can be made after the transfer deadline, which is after a team has completed 75% applicable meetings. The only exception being that you can bring back an injured rider as long as he replaces the rider who replaced him. Nowhere, that I can see, does it say you can't resign a rider who was simply replaced. I'm sure that it has been done in the past, but quite a number of years ago.
  2. Personally, I think that should be the case for all riders, not just visa sponsored ones. Riders are self employed and sign a contract to ride for a club for a season. If the club decide to release them, the club should pay them for every meeting that they are available for until they sign for another club in the same league.
  3. Plymouth, to a certain extent, have Ben over a barrel really. I don't know if Ben wants to continue to ride for the Centurions or not. Who would blame him if he didn't. He doesn't have any choice really. If he decides not to, then he would be deemed to be "withholding his services" and would receive a 28 day ban. That would mean missing out on his Leicester Lion Cub meetings for a month, as well as, possibly, restricting getting another championship place in the short term.
  4. Yet, supposedly, Klima has been signed to strengthen away performances, and Trigger is 4th in Plymouth's away averages this season. Outscoring Frederiksen, Bowtell, and (by a large margin) Barker. "Plymouth have been lacking firepower on the bigger, faster, Tracks." There are possibly three Championship tracks that, in my opinion, are remotely like the polish type tracks Klima will be used to. Plymouth have already been to two of them.
  5. It's already been stated by the promotion that Jake Mulford will start in one of the reserve slots, and at least 2 of that list (one of which I know definitely) won't be there next season.
  6. How is Pijper able to take three of Complin's rides? it's not a speedway injury, so Complin has to have the minimum number of three starts (or non starts in this case).
  7. They won't sanction a "homeless" team taking part in a league competition. A one-off challenge match as a select team is fine.
  8. Not too exciting. CANCELLED until next year again. Poor Robbo.
  9. Barker's GS average has dropped to 8.00, which means (with home enhancement) Plymouth have 8.40 for home meetings. Sedgeman fits home and away. CW fits home and away (just) as his average appears to be identical . Can't use Nicholls though ( 8.45 from 1 Sep.)
  10. Not that it really matters, but I think he's done 9 . Championship:- Leicester (A); Glasgow (A); Oxford (H); Berwick (A); Berwick (H); Missed Glasgow (H); Poole (A); Redcar (H). = 7. However he also did Edinburgh in the KOC home and away. Whilst these do not count towards riders greensheet averages, they are official BSPL fixtures. So I believe he's done 9.
  11. They never paid!!!!! Lee Complin bought at the beginning of the season. What a waste of money that was!!
  12. But not where the riders are concerned. The Regulations state:- If a Promotion ceases to operate, and/or the SCB order an annulment, riders on that Promotions Retained List shall revert to the BSPA and transfers take place.
  13. No we wouldn't as we'd be shut!!! Crowd receipts at NDL level probably wouldn't even cover the weekly rent!!
  14. And as a result has a compulsory 28 day ban. More worryingly is that Newcastle now have 28 days (from when the ban started), so in reality just over 3 weeks, to find a replacement before the facility expires. Otherwise it's a guest with an average under 6.
