Yes you’ve busted me. Your a clever, clever man. However I'm not. I’m a lot too old. You miss the point and by doing so you appear to condone bullying. Irrespective of whether the track photographers have a real or perceived issue and need ‘protecting’ they have been caught out bullying and trolling. If they had done the mature thing and made a formal complaint to the BSPA then I’m sure their issue would have been given a fair hearing. If they are indeed being frozen out by a cartel as you put it, then they could approach the right people to make that known. But they didn’t. They chose to bully a kid. They are a disgrace. -

If they provide pictures free of charge that’s not a good reason to use them. They might not be the quality or style required. I have noticed a vast improvement in the Speedway Star pics of late and I think output has gone up a notch or 3. Perhaps the old boys simply don’t make the brief these days? Perhaps the big standard shots are old hat? Perhaps the old guys realise they can’t produce the quality? -

You make some good points. The only issue I have is that ‘gripes’ shouldn’t turn into bullying/trolling - and it has. A mature approach to airing gripes would be to sit down and discuss openly. Not to do what they have done which is disgraceful. -

I like different perspectives- thanks for yours. i don’t agree though that he is encroaching anywhere. You can’t simply turn up and start taking pics. You need to have a BSPA card and I assume he has one. He also apparently works for Nigel Pearson so he is fully entitled to go where he is asked to go. If Nigel Pearson chooses to use his stuff the surely that’s his prerogative and not the ‘fault’ of the boy. If the existing photographers are unhappy then wouldn’t it be more grown up to sit down with the right people and discuss as adults rather than embarking on a bullying campaign? I find it hard to believe that the group have acted in this way. Especially given their ages. Its hardly likely to endear themselves to Nigel Pearson given that they are targeting one of his team. -

He may have received help in the past but all people involved are prominent track photographers at their respective tracks. In fact, I am pretty sure they are all named club photographers. Go to twitter and search on #amow and It reveals some interesting info. -

I think only they can explain themselves but seems like they don’t have the cajones to come out from under their rocks. -

Could be that his stuff is just so much better. It seemed good enough for the Daily Star last week and I’m sure they have a high bar. Not sure how you can excuse trolling and bullying behaviour from grown men based on their pictures not being used. -

I understand it has gone way past bitchy comments behind his back. It’s serious enough to be discussed at the BSPA. i am very surprised at our 2. One is an active member in the supporters group. In this day and age, bullying cannot be tolerated and hopefully we will see action taken against the people concerned. -

I totally agree. He must be doing something right if he’s scaring them! I do hope the promoters at Leicester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belle Vue take action here. Bullying cannot be tolerated in our sport in any level. -

He’s a nice kid. Always pleasant when I see him. If these other photographers are jealous of him and his work perhaps they need to give it up. They have accused him of not originating his own work saying it’s his fathers! They’ve developed their own hashtag on twitter #amow (all my own work) as a bitchy dig at the kid. These ‘men’ by the way are 50+ years old! Times change and move on - Speedway Photographry has too and it’s about the youth. The old guys need to go off and do something else if they can’t hack it. I just hope this bullying doesn’t have any adverse effects on the boy. As a pensioner myself I love to see youth prosper and wish him all the best. -
I was appalled to learn of some disgusting behaviour of a group of speedway photographers against a 17yr old kid. At Glasgow we have a young man learning his trade and producing some fantastic stuff. He has been subject to an appalling bullying campaign by jealous photographers who are subjecting him to a hate campaign. They were recently busted by someone who screen shotted their WhatsApp group. The guys in question are the Leicester photographer, the Edinburgh photographer and 2 from Belle Vue. I appalled to say that 2 from Glasgow are also involved. i understand that this is being investigated by the BSPA. Personally I will no longer be purchasing any pictures from these guys until I see a public apology. i suggest you do too.

Sorry to hear that Luke has taken a break. Confidence is such an asset when going well and such an anchor when not. Good luck in whatever you choose to do next. -
