  1. What about Martin Dixon and his band. Keep in with the speedway then, they can always be reserves if needed too!
  2. If you manage to get a room actually in Cardiff as such a late stage you will be very lucky indeed. They were all booked up by the end of 2003, as we've been trying. We got one at a travel lodge just off the M4 and some friends of ours have booked their room there too just last week, so I'd try there. Failing that, get a tranny van and kip in the back of it!
  3. Is it just me or does the Bydgoszcz GP just send shivers down your spine whenever you think about it? I was there in 1998 and 2000 (Mark's win) and I can still remember the atmosphere now. We had Polish fans coming up to us congratulating us on Mark being the world champion, it was something that you just don't get anywhere else, I love the place and the fans are great too. Some are just funny as they are half cut before they get there, but I've made some great friends in Poland. On the eighth day God created Gollob.
  4. It's alright re running the meeting, but how do they expect the travelling fans to afford to go back again? If I had been there I wouldn't have been able to get back again the next week. All this stuff at the start of the meeting next week will be great, but not if you can't get back again. If Mr Olsen thinks he's the bees knees then he should make a few good decisions. No wonder Jesper B doesn't get on with Jacob Olsen, if he's anything like his father I can see why. Hans for the job - great idea, or even Ivan Mauger or Barry Briggs, someone who has a bit upstairs. Maybe even get Colin Meredith and Bob Dugard, they seem to cope ok on our tracks here, give them a go at it. Anyone but Mr I have to know what's happening and I'm in charge Olsen. My say over now, just don't like the bloke.
  5. Just want to say a BIG WELL DONE to Nicki for a great performance tonight. For once he wasn't causing the trouble and he kept his cool to come through when it counts. Bad luck for the brits and my man Sully but the ever lovely Nicki put a smile on my face, it also helped that I won the sweepstake too!!!
  6. In the defence of the camera man - he was doing his job, he's paid to get the shots that no one else dare to try. Jason knows that and he should have got in his van, although maybe he didn't realise he could do that. After all Grandad was still in the pits and couldn't help him with the harder things in life like that. ;-) As a journalist myself we are always striving to bring the public what they want to see, Jason is a typical brat like character who gets off on being angry. I've seen it in the flesh before and he really needs to calm his temper sometimes. OK he was peeved at doing so badly but Scotty Nicholls faced the camera for an interview and he had a dreadful night. He's a true professional and someone that is a great example to the sport, oh and he's british. ;-) Has anyone noticed that most of the people sticking up for Crumpy are from Manchester. Are you worried that if you say truth about Crumpy then he'll leave? Actually, you'd probably be better off! Joke!!
  7. Suerly you must have been sent some free tickets by now after writing the above. Cos of the dressing up or the shove steady? Both warrent a free ticket in my mind!
  8. I really wish that I was going this year, but never mind. Last year we dressed up as school girls for the Cardiff GP and when we were in Sweden we were dressed up as nuns! Gives the riders a bit of a shock when they see you dressed like that! If I was going we would take our Buxton Bad Girls flag and our James Mann Race Team one. I know Manny isn't riding before you say it, but whenever we take it we seem to get on tv! Remember when Mark Loram won in Poland in 2000 and there was a shot of two girls jumping around in union jack tops? One of those was me and we had the Manny flag that night GOOD LUCK HOWIE, SHOVE STEADY LIKE HE DOES YOU!
