We called him Uncle Ted as locally he was known as Ted. I remember at Christmas when we were young kids my mum used to take all 3 of us round to see him and he used to give us £5 each which was alot of money back then. He was extremely well known and liked, always laughing and telling jokes! A truly lovely gentleman.

Hi I came across your post and I'm related to the Speedway rider George Wigfield. He's my mums Uncle and I'm his great Niece. He and my Auntie had no children of their own, so may I ask who is related through the bloodline. And in reply to Mark he did own a bike shop in Goldthorpe where my mum worked for him for many years.
