  1. Mark is riding in one challenge meeting for the Heathens. He has worked very hard and put a lot of track time in to get back up to a level where he can be competitive. I do not see what the problem is with this. I think one more experienced rider in a NL team is a good thing. The young riders need some guidance and experience on a number of levels. For Dudley, Armo is out injured for the rest of the season so I think Mark's inclusion in the team is a good thing. He raced with some of the World's best riders in the 90's at Cradley and held his own in a league which is way above what the EL is now, I'm sure he'll be a positive influence. Dudley have given opportunities to the youngsters over the past couple of years and I'm sure next year will be no different. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can't wait to see him out on track in a Heathens race jacket.
  2. You can fly into Vasteras airport from the UK - it used to be Stansted, not sure if it still is. It's not too far from Eskilstuna, they only have one flight in and out in the morning and one later in the day as it's a really small airport, nice place though. It's one of the budget airlines that goes there - Ryanair I think. You can rent a car at the airport but it is expensive, when I went car hire was £100 per day. There are a number of hotels nearby, we stayed at the Ibis. Although the rooms were tiny it did the job.
  3. Tommy Hedden from this years USA Dream Team rather than Tommy Haden.
  4. Just had confirmation that from junction 8 M5 to junction 2 M50 (westbound) will be closed tomorrow from 7am to 7pm. On Sunday the same stretch will be closed eastbound. Great planning as usual
  5. Just phoned the Highways Agency, they're not sure but are going to find out and call me back...........watch this space!!!
  6. That's what the signs are saying, but apparantly it's been moved to Sunday(?)
  7. He lives in the Black Country and has a local bike/moped repair shop. He's often in Speedaway Motorcycles in Blackheath, run by former rider Steve Bastable.
  8. I've been to watch league meetings in Sweden a couple of times now and our main aim is always to find the track before the meeting starts Last time we went to watch Smederna v Rospiggarna and actually got asked by a visiting fan where the track was!!
  9. I can remember when Cradley were having a bit of an injury crisis Scott Smith rode with a broken collar bone.
