  1. I was so sick of the damage that this micky mouse tactical rubbish is doing to the credibility of the sport that I stopped going for about the last third of the 2006 season. I still think that the spectacle of good close racing is fantastic but I'm not prepared to pay good money to watch 'its a knockout'. I detest the play-offs too! bah hombug
  2. great news hey rich tea. just got to keep it going now. well done Dave
  3. if it means they're not going to put 3 or 4 top class riders out of work, bring it on!!!
  4. uncle ted had a pretty effective way of getting dick to stop shouting the nick name at the top of his voice too.
  5. is that why dick jarvis always shouted 'plank head' whenever uncle ted was racing, to find out later that it was a bad idea!
  6. Nope i'm just saying the moaning minnie couldnt fail to score what he did considering he is allegedly a EL star. Norris is a joke and tbh Team england would have been better off haking harris and stead who probably would have scored the same. keep your head in the sand and your butt in the air decker and the rest of us will enjoy watching the selected team GB in the final.
  7. Given the the opposition i dont think the scores of floppy are anything other than what he SHOULD have scored. However will he do the business in the repercharge round where the opposition will be more with it. so you're saying that he did what he was taken for, which makes him absolutely the right choice, right? and yes he and the others will do the business on thursday. get ready to watch them in the final.
  8. and that's the difference between using established elite riders rather than premier, gating and the first bend. they will have to deal with some mean gaters and ruthless first bends. I agree we desperately need our younger brigade to progress and I'm sure they will by being part of the squad. there is a realistic chance of GB coming second to australia in the first round with the chosen team. I'm sure the others will get a run out with the sort of luck middlo has with his riders!!
  9. Better Idea. Sack Middleditch. If that's his opinion of the best team available to him, then his opinion isn't up to much. A rider long past his sell by and two homers who can't ride any track more than 15 minutes away from Eastbourne. you cant blame middleditch for not having top class riders available like australia for example. if howe was fit he'd have got the nod over norris, but he isn't so dave's in. I wonder how many times some of you have seen norris in the last couple of years or at any time for that matter. they said on sky last night that the first track they'll be riding is small and slick, I'd also heard that before as the reason for using arlington as a 'practice' for GB v ROW,so hopefully the powers that be do know what they're doing UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES they've gone for experience over youth. I'll be giving our team my support as I'm sure they'll do their best.
