How was the attendance?

Some of us refuse to work late on a Wednesday (good old Tesco and availability forms haha) but hell aren’t I knackered on Thursday evening after only 4ish hours sleep Weds night but it’s worth it

He could be setting himself up for life and working here for a pittance if he really gave a toss about british speedway which at the end of the day is the british fans ......... imo. He might as well be a Pole, Swede, Dane, Latvian, American etc etc for all the times we get to see him race and refusing to race for the British fans on the team world stage was the last straw for me personally but of course I am just one insignificant, british speedway fan so it doesn’t really matter .........

Haha, he's wanted to race in Poland for the last two years, I don't want him chosen either..

But it seems they are, so be it, we still have two good reps for any fan who has travelled 6 hrs down to Poole!

There's trouble at t'mill ...... the fans have to take the bad with the good and of course the more good you have, the more you expect. Testing times down south in your 70th year. But sympathy, nah ..

Speedway has done that, it doesn’t work very well, the promoter loses money and hardly any fans come back on a normal priced night. If parents could get over the 'can’t bring my child cos they have to go to bed early’ it would help speedway, my kids all came, they haven’t suffered at all, they catch up with their sleep, they fall asleep on the way home, it’s no big deal imho.

Of course it wasn’t Robert’s fault, whoever would think a flight would be delayed for so many damned hours and yes we 100 per cent would’ve won with Robert there, what an awesome start he’s had to the season, loving watching him. We need Niels back to where we know he should be/can be, dunno if it’s the injury but he doesn’t look comfortable out there. Ty has made a good start to the season too, he is confident which is great. Lewis Kerr is also full of confidence, particularly at Lynn, loved seeing him clamp riders going into the third bend last week, keep up the great work Lew Just loving it

Bad luck aside re Robert, we gave Leicester a run for their money, I feel confident we can beat them by more than 6 at home, roll on Wednesday week!! MotM - Ty

Polish people obviously have a different opinion of speedway riders, more like the UK years ago where riders were revered, admired, put on a pedestal, but why? Not saying fans don’t admire riders today but they certainly don’t treat them as Polish people do. Polish people are generally more passionate about their cities/towns, I put that down to their history and I guess it follows that they are passionate about their sports clubs too? I’m convinced that if our stadiums were in the centre of our cities like Polish stadiums are so that locals could walk to their club they would be more popular, all our city centre clubs have disappeared, built on ........ I’ve been to Polish speedway and there was nothing extra regards promotion on the day, no extras, apart from providing flags I guess, but the fans were totally up for a great Sunday afternoon, it may be because they are young and enthusiastic, it is, definitely is, as we get older our outlook changes, we generally become grumpy, miserable, cynical, old farts who have no energy, who’ve been there, done it all before lol
