  4. Has anyone seen the Michael Lee DVD and can recommend or at least give a quick review? How much of the 4hrs is actual racing footage/archive etc? As much as I would like to here Mike today give his account of his Speedway career, it's the on track action what will sell it me. Bezza
  5. Far to technical..... If someone can get this on to DVD. I am more than happy to a pay a tenna (£10) for the privilege. Please PM me with details to send payment. Cheers guys - Bezza
  6. Sounds like I missed a good meeting tonight. Was anyone able to record it? I am more than happy to pay for a copy on DVD. Many thanks Bezza.
  7. Was thinking of popping along before a Rye House meeting, has the voucher been printed in the Speedway Star? Bezza.
  8. Am coming up from Ipswich for this one, can someone just confirm the preferred route to the stadium, via A12/M25 or is it via Harlow. There's probably not a lot in it, it looks about 1hr 30 either way. If anyone can help, that would be great. Martin
  9. Does anyone happen to know the line up for this meeting with it being only two weeks away? Cheers all. Bezza.
  10. Could someone please confirm the start time for this meeting. A friend tells me it's 8pm in which case am I right in thinking it would go out live on SKY at 7pm (+1hr CET) Cheers - Bezza
  11. Should Poland get one of the Semi Final's. Does any one have an idea's which track it would be held on? Bezza...
  12. What a load of tosh, 24 heats of absolute dross..... You can put as many bells and whistles as you want - the 100th GP will not go down in the memory books. Roll on 2008. Bezza.
  13. On this subject and I have just had a good idea..... SKY should ask the viewers what they consider to be the best GP race of all time (which would save SKY the time of going through all the archives)..... Get the viewers to list their best 3, take the majority vote which should include input from the SKY pundits. Now that would be worth watching as opposed to re-runs of recent GP's (Cardiff) This to me sounds like a good alterntive to the usual end of season review stocking filler they usually serve up. Thoughts? Bezza
  14. Just got back from Prague on the morning Easyjet flight to Stansted. Suffice to say, that will probably be the last trip to Prague for me. Someone mentioned it in an earlier thread, it would appear that the Prague round has generally got a bit stale and whilst Prague itself is a beautiful city, my main priority and reason for going is the speedway. An absolute deluge of rain came down at 4.30 which thankfully only lasted for about half an hour. Whether or not this had an effect on the track or not, I do not know, but the track was an absolute disgrace to the sport. You could really see how tentative the guys were going into each the bends as they picked there way through what seemed to a minefield of ruts. but hey!, hats off to Nicki anyone who can win 7 in a row on that track deserves a lot of credit and looks a worthy champion this year taking into account overall league and GP form. Bezza.
  15. Agree, sub standard track prep and a fine example of how NOT to attract new supporters.......absolutely shocking!! I fear the meeting at Coventry will be much of same, but with better track prep.....and assuming team GB will go straight through, the Play-off meeting could also be in danger of being a poor meeting with Poland & Australia head and shoulders above anything that may be put in front them. It's not all bad news tho as in my opinion the Final itself has the makings of a classic. Bez.
  16. I to would like to buy/get hold of a copy. So if anyone knows it be useful. Cheers - Bezza.
  17. Has BSI thought of staging the Cardiff event in the afternoon, so people cant still get home at a decent time on the same day. Thus, eliminating the need to stay over.. With a 3pm start. I reckon you would see anywhere between 50-60,000 for the Cardiff GP. Just a thought.... Bez
  18. Could someone with experiance of travelling to the Golden Helmet give me an idea/example of the itinary. - Do you stay in Prague or Pardubice? - If so, is public transport recommended to/from the meeting? - Is the meeting itself any good, is it usual end of season fair.... - How much is it to get in? I am assuming it's cheaper than GP's, but then there seems to be a lot of riders there who need paying? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Bezza
  19. Do we think the Polish Final will be held 15 August @ Wroclaw? Bezza
  20. Any news on when the 2007 fixtures are coming out for Ekstraliga? Cheers - Bezza
  21. Spiegal - When is the Brochure coming out? Cheers - Bez.
  22. I ended up going to this meeting. In front of a reasonable size crowd, the racing itself was rather processional. The quickest line was round the curb......which was strange for such a fast and wide track..... With a field of 20 riders, there was an evident gulf in class, but then Crump was head and shoulders above everyone including Adams, Nicholls, Kolenko and Jensen not just the local Italian guys.. If this form is anything to go by, I can not see beyond Crump as WC for 2007. Bezza.
  23. I will be in the Lake Garda region next weekend. I may just make the short trip to Lonigo.... Does any of our International forum friends happen to know the line up/rider details for this prestigous meeting... Bezza
