Warsaw Gp Saturday 18th April
Starman2006 replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Nothing to do with that. Its time and giving the track chance to bed in , then keep rolling it. lightly spike it lightly water then keep rolling it. but if you have crap for shale, your wasting your time whatever you do. But trying to put an indoor temporary track in in 3 days or a week is madness. you need time. and track before profit. Saturday proved, if you don't have the stage, that's what you'll get... -

I think SCB was still cracking his teeth on rusks, or wasn't even thought of when OLSEN was riding... Good rider he Was, doesn't make him suitable for the job he has.. Many good footballers turn to management, doesn't mean to say they'll make good managers. And if they don't produce the goods what happens to them ? -

Sidney its not just you mate. Gavan seems to have a problem, with anybody who has an opinion, especially if they come from Poole. Im just wondering if he and Bwitcher are the same person or brothers. They both have the same aggressive personallity. even if you are right, and you put up a valid post. which they would ignore, and find something else to dicect get their teeth into.. Quite sad really. But then... -

But he still rode it, so that gives him a slight advantage over you and your brother Gavan, I would say... As for the start gate, please read my post again, S L O W L Y.. -

You were talking about the start gate, stop changing the post to suit yourself. Nah it wouldn't do would it. read it S L O W L Y... I suppose like Gavan, you wasn't old enough either to remember the Billy Janeiro situation, worked well , no problem there. its called improvising. -

Crap, it had nothing to do with the starting gate. you have 30 odd Grand Prix drivers who sit on a grid and wait for the red lights to go out, if they can do that then why can't 4 riders sit on a start line ? There's a thing called improvise, Years ago, Billy Janeiro held a piece of elastic stretched across our start gate as ours failed, that worked very well, no problems there, green light came on, riders under starters orders, after X seconds Billy let the elastic go. problem solved, so why can't they do the same thing ?? I don't suppose you was old enough to remember that, know doubt still cracking your teeth on Rusks,,, -

So spend a little more time getting things right, get in these venues a little earlier, unless the powers that be are looking to scrimp a bit and lay it in the shortest time possible to make maximum profit, in which case its false economy. Give the track time to bed in, then you won't have the problem. As for the start gate shambles, make sure you have 2 of everything, not just a starting gate mechanisum. To me that looked like a brand new start gate mechanisum at Warsaw. they need to be checked and checked again.. give the poles a wipe before every race. You really need to sort this, as its making Speedway look a laughing stock. The venues maybe nice, but if the stage is not there your wasting your time. -

So why did the riders get the meeting called off then ? Really, you need to pay a visitation to one of our sponsors, Specsavers.. very disrespectful to all the fans that were present. But i don't expect a clown like you to understand that. -

I did like the way all the riders were congratulating each other, while the fans who spent their very hard earned and graft trudged out of the stadium. Doesn't set a good example and very unprofessional me thinks.. -

Think your out of order there darling, it pissed down for a week monsoon style, So much rain it flooded the main grandstand entrance and the office's corridor. If you don't believe me or any other poole fans, just ask Nigel Pearson, he was down here for best part of a week, and even he couldn't believe what he was seeing. -

No, and you won't find any. Chris came through the meeting, thats all we could ask. He was very apprehensive about going back after what happend at your place two year ago, and nobody could really blame him. Now all you have to do is fill that bloody ditch in on turn one... Im working on another word for the week. Watch this space... -
