  1. I wonder what Gavan thinks about Ipswichs price ??
  2. The FIM don't pay the riders points money nor sponsorship for the riders to buy equipment, so imo the riders can have sponsors where they like. To many bigwigs fatcats and H/S merchants poking their noses in where they are not wanted nowadays.
  3. So who's going to provide the Trophy for us at the end of the season ??
  4. Couldn't agree more, no rider is bigger than the sport, the same as no footballer is bigger than the English game, without naming names... I really do think he's learn't his lesson in a very hard way this time, and i sincerly hope, on his return we see the REAL Darcy Ward on a speedway bike..
  5. Do you know, im really suprised that Gavan has not contrabuted to this thread, being a staunch Ippo fan....
  6. So long as he's served his time then yes, if he gets a wild card then so beit. But Darcy knows, if he should put one foot out of place, the FIM will bounce him from one side of the pits to the other.. But i don't think he will be so silly again...
  7. If he does get a wild card, then that will be sanctioned by the FIM, But thats down to them, and not anybody on here..
  8. What planet you on, ? Darcy will serve his ban, there will be no reprieve there will be no reduced sentence, he will be back riding at the end of june. Hope that clears things up..
  9. Well im also reading that Benji has spent a fortune on new equipment. Benji is a nice enough lad but was way out of his depth when he rode for us last season. If Benji can make starts and put a bit of effort into his racing, i would expect him to score points from reserve. The Somerset track is not hard to learn, and if one of the boys who knows the track well can give Benji some pointers, and can apply this in practice, then i see no reason why he cannot score points at home, and pick up points away. Benji has to be a bit more aggressive in his racing, and want to score points, otherwise the investment he's made will be wasted.. I wish him well.
  10. Quite right, but I also think he's been a lucky boy and got off quite light..
  11. Depends on the dedication of the person, how far they want to go. As for the above, they would have had to work hard to get where they were in the first place. Save for serious injury The rest is up to them.
  12. Thats absolute rubbish. On one hand you've said one thing, and on another you've said something else. It doesn't matter how naturally gifted you are in any choosen sport, you still have to work very hard to get to the top. NOTHING is given to you on a plate..
  13. And when Michael Lee put his mind to it what he couldn't do on a speedway bike is not worth talking about.. Darcys exactly the same.
  14. Spot on, suprisingly.. Plenty of know all's on here...
  15. Yep top Brit in the british final other that Tai and Bomber should go to Cardiff. Personally if Darcy should get a wild card it should be later in the season, maybe Torun.
  16. You lot would talk about two flies running up a wall, wouldn't you.. Sad, very sad..
  17. Somink like that mate. i think the ban is very fair. Darcy now knows what he needs to do.. I don't need to go over old ground, but he has to accept he will be a marked man from now on in. Should, he step out of line, which i now hope he won't, they will bounce him from one side of the pits to the other, and they will see his career is finished.. His choice..Me, when, he returns, i hope he goes on to show the speedway world the REAL, Darcy Ward...
