As we know this fixture has been re-arranged for Monday 7th September then at home to Belle Vue on Thursday 10th. Is there still a restriction on the number of motor sport events that can be held ( maximum of two during and eight day period)? I mention this as Spedeworth have a stock car meeting on Saturday 12th.

Well Paul Hurry on Radio Suffolk yesterday said guest for Nicholls is Lewy Kerr for this meeting plus Olly Allen had arranged for Team GB riders to meet in Poland on Thursday evening for team bonding meal ahead of practice on Friday for WTC. Paul and Richard stated that as the Aussie riders would be riding in Gb on Thursday night and flying out Friday morning that is what Tom would be doing.
Isn't Kerr ineligible under the '8 day ' rule?
a rider may ride as a guest (in an official meeting) at a track only once in an 8 day period (within that league) excluding Play Offs, unless he is replacing the home teams #1 or is ONLY declared in a British Development League Team

Leon Flint, Kye Thomson, and Danny King inherit the number one race jacket for their clubs. In the meantime Vinnie Foord and Connor Mountain drop to reserve

You would think the lead up week to the World Cup Final would be blank wouldn't you?
Strange some leagues still run...
Maybe not that important?...
On top of that, Redcar ride at home against Glasgow on Friday then away to Workington on Saturday meaning guests/RR for Charles Wright and Leon Flint.

Would agree reality check is not the right word.We are just not good enough, but no doubt 3rd Place will be a “wonderful” result as usual.
Certainly not prepared enough. Four out of our five riders turned out for their Championship sides on Friday evening.

It was confirmed as Denmark...
Strange the rider didn't know..?
Next year Doubling Up, will, currently as it stands, count as two leagues...
Meaning no Poland for those riders, but they could join other leagues...
Rather strange this. Tom wasn't in Holsted's squad at the start of this season and isn't now. As far as I can see he rode once for them on 29th July

It should not affect us at Berwick with Sam Masters guesting along with Hagon fof Newman and Kennett for Bowes. Hopefully Kyle will be ok for the next home meeting.
...and a facility for Cook who will be riding in Poland.

Mention on the live stream regarding a dispute but I don't know if this means Lawson is withholding his services or he has been suspended.

So he got a 7 day ban for missing the Ipswich meeting, not the Poole meeting, gotcha.
I still find it ridiculous that kf he didn't have a Danish club he would've got a ban for missing Poole's match due to illness, but because he had a Danish fixture, he doesn’t have to ride due to illness & escaped a ban (till the next day).
These events were almost a fortnight apart. He pulled out of his Danish fixture on 24th June due to injury (although I don't know when this occurred). The meeting he missed for Ipswich wasn't until 6th July when he became unwell on his way to Leicester.

I heard tonight Zach is not there on Saturday, Jason Edwards guesting, Lewi will be happy 😂
Do you mean this Saturday, the 8th, when Lodz are riding, or both? He will certainly miss the second date for the return to Berwick.
On the subject of missing riders, will Lawson be absent for any more as Poole and Brovst are both in action for all remaining Wednesdays in August?

Witches hope Danny King will be passed fit after he battled to an heroic 12-point, four-ride maximum against the Tigers last week. Hurry admits he faced an intense schedule at No.2 on his racing return.
He said: “Last week was tough on Danny. It was his first meeting back, and it is quite demanding at times around Ipswich. Coming back from a rib injury is hard going. People don’t realise. Not only does he have that to deal with; all of his races are in the first 10 or 11 heats.”
So why did Paul Hurry name King at 2 & why is he doing it again (providing he rides)?
Riding away from home gives him longer intervals between his 2nd, 3rd and 4th outings.

Think we will do well to hit 40 tonight, with Palm-Toft nowhere near what Danny would score, Kevin Juul Pedersen never even been to Foxhall before and Jason struggling a bit at the moment. The other three will need to hit big double figure scores. I hope I'm wrong but just can't see a Witches victory, but I will be there to cheer them on
Jason wasn't struggling last night at Oxford. Top scored as a guest for Plymouth, 14 from 5 beating Masters twice.

He's not allowed to ride because he missed Leicester because of illness. The other week he rode for the Witches, then missed a Danish match due to illness, then rode for Poole on the Wednesday. Danish teams have squads so replaced him, and because he didn't miss a Prem or Champ meeting he could keep riding here.
The big worry has to be: is he actually unwell or, even more worryingly, is he picking and choosing for some reason?
Lawson is riding in Denmark this evening. Scored 4 from four outings so probably won't be asking him back.

Really? You know the tracks going to be a slick dust bowl with and you book Chris Harris, he rode their recently with Glasgow and struggled because he couldn’t get out of the gate.
Who would you have booked. There aren't many options.

I wonder if they asked Lewis Kerr first.

Dry slick tracks suit some more than others and no surprise that Musielak did well given his Polish experience, certainly made the meeting a little more entertaining. Not sure what's going on with Lawson but I don't think the Ipswich management will be too impressed but if he was genuinely ill then that can't be helped. Will King be back on Thursday and if so, then R/R could be used for him if he's still ill??
Danny won't be back as his 7 day suspension remains current until the weekend.. This is a real problem for the return match against Leicester on Thursday as all six premiership clubs are in action. Also, if Lawson fails to produce a medical certificate he could be facing a 28 day suspension for withholding his services.
-
Seemingly no interest in this meeting.
Both sides have riders missing. Leicester have booked Josh Pickering to cover for Ryan Douglas ( injured in Poland yesterday) and utilise RR for Kyle Howarth.
Likewise Ipswich operate RR for Danny King.
-
Danny has pulled out of tonight's match for Plymouth following the injury he picked up after his fall last night.
He will now miss both meetings against Leicester next week. Get well soon mate, we need you!
-
Belle Vue are opting for RR this evening.

I think he may have withdrawn from Sweden as he hasn't ridden for Vastervik for the past two weeks.

At this point I’m almost done with British speedway. The whole season is actually embarrassing to say the least. When you are even willing to pay to watch a meeting and you still can’t just sums up the complete ineptitude of anyone who is running this sport. I tried to defend it the other day but this is just a S show at the moment. Thought I’d try and watch the youngster to see how they are getting on and you can’t even do that! Roll on Friday when the Ekstraliga is on.
back running now

That will be put back a week at least now that today's meetings at Belle Vue and Leicester have been postponed.
