Wednesday’s 3rd round(8th) from Albury is being streamed by them on PPV - no details from them yet.

My working out is that 1st race is 10.30am UK time.

Saturday's( 11th) 4th and final round from North Brisbane( Darcy Ward promoted) will also be streamed on PPV - details to follow and 1st race is 8am UK time.

That would make it a 9.30pm start. Seems a bit late.

Good move for rider and club, but I do wonder what will happen if/when he gets a gig in Poland?

He has, but under a Warsaw Contract for Ostrow in the Ekstraliga 2 which, as far as i can make out means he is attached but not under official contract. What happens if there are fixture clashes I don't know.

The homepage is here, from where you can access all the various leagues across Continental Europe via the links on the right hand side:

In addition, this has been produced in the past. The link relates to 2024 but I expect a new version will come out once fixture lists for 2025 have been established:

  4. This one is not so much where are they now but 'what they did next.'

I have been clearing out my elderly cousin's house recently and came across a George Medal which was awarded to his grandfather during WW2. There is a list of recipients on a Wikipedia page. As it turned out, he isn't on there, but I found the name of a Lionel Van Praag (World Champion 1936)  who won the medal whist serving in the Australian Air Force around the same time:

On 26 January 1942 Van Praag was the co-pilot of a Douglas DC-2 which was attacked by two Japanese fighters and forced down into the Sumba Strait, Indonesia. The aircraft soon sank, leaving Van Praag, his pilot Flying Officer Noel Wilson Webster, and two other crewmen in open water. Webster gave his life-jacket to a crewman who could not swim, while the other was semi-conscious, having been injured in the crash. Webster and Van Praag managed to drag them safely to shore, but were in the water for thirty hours, during which time they beat off several attacks by sharks.[168]

Against kings Lynn max fricke scored an 18 point maximum plus 4 points for the super heat equalling 22points

Ìs there anyone who has scored more in the English league?

Or is this some kinda record ?

Bjarne Pedersen on 22nd July 2005 when riding for Poole at Lakeside (then Arena Essex). He scored 22 +1 from seven outings, one as a golden double in which he finished second behind team mate Matej Ferjan.

There were also more teams, 19 when i started going, so 18 league matches, more then now riding against each other twice, so riding each other more than once would have been impossible

Exactly, but having 7 clubs riding each other twice home and away is no different to 14 clubs riding once and then all squeezed into two days of the week not six.

    Or not enough Monday's and Thursday's? :D

Correct. Back in the 70's the first division ran over 6 days (I don't recall Sundays ever being used). Therefore, 7 clubs being fitted into 2 days of the week is the equivalent of 21 clubs having 6 available. Also, they rode only once home and away in the league although there were more open meetings and international fixtures and those of other categories fitted in.
