  1. Firstly, I would like to wish Adam Roynon a speedy recovery from yet another nasty injury. He is such a talent, as he has shown in all 3 leagues this season, and does not deserve such crappy luck. I also wish Tom Perry well. It IS awful for the Dudley fans after losing by one point. There are a group of supporters who know exactly how you feel... yep, us Mildenhall fans! After the unforgettable struggle last season with Scunthorpe we came away devastated. But just look at us now. Dudley will get there rewards soon enough. Heat 15 at Lynn was not an ordinary heat 15. The whole season depended on that race. All 4 riders were pumped up. None of the riders were gonna give an ounce to the opposition, this was sh*t or bust. Stefan went for a gap which may have been too small, we’ll never know. Adam saw Stefan coming and tried to shut the door. I think the slippery surface caused Adam’s bike to slide further than he intended. I believe the ref was bang on with the decision. No malice, just racing. I attended both legs of the final and have to say it was great to see an abundance of young British talent on show. It’s exactly what the NL is about.
  2. Brilliant stuff Duffyscouse. A fantastic post which says it all about one hell of a meeting!
  3. Fantastic win for the Tigers! Especially after Friday nights loss. Plenty of tigers fans there to celebrate! Special mention for the Stoke promotion for putting on a great trophy presentation. Surely the double is beyond us though...or is it?
  4. Great result for the Tigers. What a difference a week makes. The top scorers both rode as guests at Mildenhall last Sunday and scored 6 between them. A paid 31 between them tonight!
  5. Troguerader, to be fair I think Simon Lambert would have beaten a few Premier, and even Elite League boys, around West Row yesterday. Without Heeps we would not be where we are, agreed. But we HAVE got Cameron Heeps and we ARE where we are.
  6. Totally agree Norwichkev. Can't understand all this about Camo and Simon Lambert stuff? Lambert was class yesterday. I don't care which league people think he should be in, he was fantastic entertainment yesterday. Hope he returns again this season, and next! As for Camo. He impresses me more every time I see him ride. It has been a pleasure with him in the team this season. Tony Atkin was great blocking off Aaron Baseby with the Atkin bus in heat 11 for the 8-1. Fantastic ride by Camo in heat 14 to team ride with Joe and keep Atkin at bay. He showed in that heat that he too has learnt to drive a bus...
  7. Gotta agree Dave. Apart from Adam Roynon, young Mr Branford has been the best visiting rider this season, in my opinion. I also have to agree with NorwichKev (how agreeable am I!)regarding the maturity he showed when stalking JJ before beating him on the line. There are lots of smiles on the West Row terraces at the moment. We have quality speedway, an exciting and competitive side and a great management team (who don't take any crap!) Long may it continue!
  8. Ok, Cameron Heeps top scored on his debut. Ok, he was the most exciting rider on view. Ok, he got his points from the back. But apart from that, what did he do! No wonder nobody wanted us to have him!! Good on ya Camo!
  9. As a Mildenhall fan I'm not being negative, but I have to agree with Mr Halifax Tiger regarding the quality of the racing last night. Every track is different, and the racing you see is what you get use to. But it wasn't good in comparison to what we see at Mildenhall for example. Don't even get me started on the superb Somerset track and the quality of the racing there. The refereeing last night was BIZARRE as PhilK pointed out at the time. The Brundle exclusion was unbelievable! The NL is supposed to be the breeding ground for the sports future in this country. So please referees, give the boys a bit of leeway and let them have a chance. When there's havoc on the first and second bend, let em all back and give em another go! Right I've said my bit, I'll post again in about 4 years...
