  1. Middlo is doing a great job. His team has some good prospects that now have a taste of international experience as a team. The team is only as good as the sum of the parts, plus from time to time, someone who rises to the occasion, will spur on the rest to raise their level enough to capture a medal. Middlo has a very good repoir with his riders, but that doesn't stop him from making the tough decisions when necessary. He is an asset to Team GB, and would be my choice for as long as he wants the job.
  2. I think it would be great if the GP's paid enough for the riders to concentrate on them. It would solve all the problems that a lot of the people on here think are caused by the GP riders. It won't be cheaper because the guys behind the GP riders in your team will now want the same pay as the GP rider. Maybe then big open meetings will be a good draw for the promoters, get 8 or 10 GP riders against the top local riders once a month in each country (England, Poland, Sweden) sprinkle in a few more around Europe (Russia) along with a GP every fortnight and the guys would be plenty busy without the outlay of airfares, bikes, vans, mechanics, and workshops everywhere, the economics would probably look alright too at the end of the season. I hope the new guys can help the riders with attracting sponsorship, something that BSI said they would do. Instead they went to the rider's sponsors and inticed them to spend their money in the GP's rather than the rider they were sponsoring. A real low class act by a first class BS'r.
