pits bend
Hello there, I am travelling to Cardiff with my young son and I was wondering if there is still the train service from Newport Station to the Millennium stadium, and the time of the last return train? I used this facility in 2005 for the Football League Play-Offs and it worked very well. I parked in Newport Sation car park for a small fee and had no problems in getting out later. There are three or four trains from Newport to Cardiff every hour. It takes about 15 minutes. I'm not sure of the time of the last train, but with the earlier start-time you won't have any problems getting back. I've done this every year, as do many others. Many thanks 2nd bender, I remember the service being a frequent one but was concerned that if I went there and there were no trains coming back I would have a problem. I assume that after the meeting you just queue outside the station in Cardiff ?

I assume that after the meeting you just queue outside the station in Cardiff ? That's the usual form. There's usually one queue for Newport only and another for all other destinations. It's pretty chaotic but it works. Maybe this year it won't be so bad 'cos more people might be inclined to carry on drinking in Cardiff.
