stephenagraham
Greetings From California, In California, The Speedway Grand Prix series is not shown on television until November, long after the season is over. I would like to speed that process up a bit through the use of technology and need some help. I, and a great number of my friends over here, would be greatly appreciative if someone can help us out. If you easily answer yes to the following 4 questions and would be willing to lend a hand, please contact me off list. 1. Do you have an ATI/Radon "All In Wonder" video card or comparable, or a DVR that interfaces with your computer? 2. Are you good with software? Particularly video compression software such as Dr. Divx and are able to configure a FTP client such as Flash FXP? 3. Do you have a broadband/high speed connection to the Internet? 4. Do you get "same day" coverage of The Speedway Grand Prix events? If you have a good understanding of the above and would be willing to help, you could make a number of speedway fans very happy. If you can record the GPs and then compress them down to something workable, like aroud 200mb – 500mb (or higher if you have really fast upload) and then upload it, I have 2 FTP servers, one on a 2.5mb cable and one on a T1, so uploading would only by restricted be your amount of upload speed. I have any software necessary, so with the correct equipment and good computer skills, this whole thing would only take a few clicks and a few minutes of your time. Thanks for taking the time to read this and if you are in a position to help, please do. I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming speedway season. Now, if someone could just find a spot for Billy Hamill in England this season………………… Cheers, Steve Graham Huntington Beach, California
