All the moaning,we all have seen “crap” speedway meetings, poor track prep and electrical problems maybe uncommon but I would bet we have all suffered it at sometime.I certainly seen worse racing.Need to take a leaf out of the Josh Pickering book and just get on with it.

After the initial block of heats it got better but it should be right from heat1 Plymouth won so I’m well happy with that, I suppose you have to park it now and move on but I’d love to no from someone who does understand track prep why this seems to happen a lot at Plymouth and how it can improve

Yes if it wasn't for Pickering there would not have been much racing.

The poor track prep and delayed meetings are the norm at Plymouth that's the problem. It happens at almost every home meeting.

It would be impossible to be worse than tonight. The amount of time it took to sort out the green light starts was incredible, so much dust and we should all be grateful for Pickering, he was terrific, I hope he has a good night tomorrow as well otherwise it will be another hammering for Edinburgh.

Track couldn’t have been that bad with a New track record from picko

It was bad.  It was a new track but with the redesigned 3rd 4th turn there have been a few track records this season.

Track had too much water on at the beginning which created alot dirt which had to be bladed off, which was fine, it was dusty but difficult to manage in the hot weather  problem with tapes which could of been sorted quicker instead of trying to repair should of went straight to green light starts hindsight a wonderful thing. Josh Pickering showed how track can be rode and actually made Plymouth riders ride different lines racing was good usual Plymouth critics jumping on the bandwagon but if no one likes us who cares,we don't. Decent crowd in aswell.

Be careful wot you say Plymouth fans don't like the truth being told  on a positive looks to be a decent crowd, better than when worky were there

Not all Plymouth fans, just those invested in the club normally. It's very disappointing that it was a few years ago a lot of the better riders in this league talked up the Plymouth track and how they found it a lot of fun to ride. Back then though there were different people prepping the track.

The track itself sits on some kind of marsh land which makes it very difficult to maintain and find consistency with the weather being unpredictable at the best of times in the west country. That being said it's good that the promotion have tried to make positive changes to the track to make it better to ride, unfortunately the prep is often not great. It's either slick as hell and follow the leader or far too wet, occasionally it produces some great racing though and Pickering was a great example of what can be done around there. Unfortunately constructive feedback isn't well received by the promotion.

That being said, delighted with the result!!

As good as Picko is (and he is good), he won't be setting any new track records at Wimborne Road tonight! In fact nobody will.

While Redcar seem to run a good show, there are a few fans who are complaining about track prep not providing the normal standard of racing.

not a bit of wonder the glads do well on the road . after riding their home track every away track must be heaven for them .. keep an eye on the worky V Plymouth  fixture for a shock away win for the glads ..

I'm sure Workington won on our track, think your contradicting yourself  or you're worried about  Plymouth turning Workington over on your superbly prepared track:rolleyes:
