He wasn’t doing a Musielak, if he was doing a Musielak then he wouldn’t have tried to come back last month and he wouldn’t be coming back on Thursday. He’s never not wanted to ride over here, his wrist just wouldn’t allow him to as it wasn’t a normal break, his wrist was literally smashed into little pieces.

It obviously has been frustrating for us Stars fans, even I have been frustrated… but that’s the truth of it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nicolai announced his testimonial last night... will be 15th March 2026 at the AFA.

Hasn't really started planning yet but is thinking a four team tournament

With his attitude towards British Speedway (especially Plymouth) does he really deserve a testimonial?

I think there's too many testimonials now anyway, remember when it used to be 10 consecutive years with 1 club.

Because of the points limit, I understand it's hard to stay with a club that long, so I'd suggest 10 years with a club still, but doesn't have to be consecutive seasons.

But any rider that misses matches when they don't get a facility, that season doesn't count?

He’s been a pretty loyal servant to Lynn the last 4 years (with a little bit of time spent with Oxford in 2024).

I think Nicolai is deserving of a testimonial for his commitment to this country.  Albeit, he's not served 10 years at a single club, he has given 17 years to this country.  Also, his commitment to Kings Lynn, as it probably is for any club he rides for, is deserving.  He has earned the Captains armband, for his presence both when things are going well, but also he's not afraid to front up when the team, or even himself, have had a bad night.

For 2026, would I take him back?  Yes i would.  Those awful Witches look like they will be in or around winning the title, and these are the starting and current rolling averages.

Jason Doyle 9.36  8.42

Emil Sajfutdinow 9.12  8.38

Tom Brennan 6.52  7.09

Danny King 6.14  6.64

Adam Ellis 5.47  5.88

Dan Thompson 3.11  5.42

For Nicolai to be effective, he needs to have a top 2 above him, dare I say a Lambert and Kvech, a couple of riders to take the pressure off him.  He can then Captain and ride with freedom, and I can still honestly see him putting something on his current 6.42.

We need 3/4 riders who will improve from 2025 to 2026, and a number 1, whoever that may be.  A strong number 6 has worked to an extent this season, and maybe a fit Ben Cook would still see us challenging for a PO spot, but I don't think we are that far away.
