Scunthorpe 2025

Recommended Posts

I’m sorry to say some serious team building needs to be done for next season.
Mountain, Abblit and Harrison to stay, the rest need to move on.

Palm toft injury prone so often off form or abscent

Howarth signed but been a let down

Allen to get no better

Lambert been at it for over 10+ years now and on the downhill slope.

Lets see if Godfrey can dig deep and bring in fresh blood for 2025 season.

I agree they need to keep them 3. I won't be bothered if the other 4 moved on, although Godfrey wants to 'keep continuity'. If the rumoured 38 points limit is correct, scunny will have to drop about 5.5 points, could be a straight swap MPT for a 2 pointer

You can add ten years to that. Made his debut for Boston in 2004

Speedway is about building a team of riders that are likely to improve there average if you want to see success

Out of the 7 riders who Scunthorpe (in 2024) have and their averages they have on October green sheets there's only Harrison I can see upping his in 2025 and that's if he kicks on and starts scoring decently away from home too

If the points limit is below 42, they could all increase their averages.

Ignoring the "natural increase" you should get with a 38/40 point limit, Nathan Ablitt has improved the last 2 years, I see no reason why that shouldn't continue.

I know the team got told last at the meeting and nearly half the team are not been kept so we go again  , Poole basically had 4 heatleaders last night and love watching Tom Brennan and how far has he come on sadly won’t be in the championship

good luck in the higher leagues Tom

No one is going to name their team pre AGM as the rule voting could change & mess teams about.

You might have heard decent rumours but as I said, nothing can be ratified, more so on a forum, until after the AGM.

Even Godfrey is not daft to loan out Luke whatever average he finishes on,he is Definately and up and coming talent. He was just as exciting  and tenacious on his 125 round Berwick 2-3 seasons ago.Wish him well.Fans stayed behind just to watch him.

Have to agree, he'd be one the riders I'd 100% bring back, regardless of the points limit.
