Warning To Anybody Attending A Double Header.
Silver Cheetah Snr replied to Silver Cheetah Snr's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Yes it has happened see post #10. Maybe you are happy at getting ripped off but a lot of people are not. Do you remember last years double headers with the famous statement of "We will give you news of the time of tonights curfew" As I say you will soon be the only person stood on the terraces if the public keep getting treated with contempt. And please in future do not say I have said something that I have not. -

Where did I say that I had. This is what a promoter said is the case this morning when asked what the rules are. -
Warning To Anybody Attending A Double Header.

Agree but it isn't. -
Neil. 1) There is no notice outside the turnstiles before you go in. 2) The turnstile staff, when asked what the re-admission details for a double header were did not know. I see from your reply that you consider that 10 heats from 30 constitutes you having fulfilled your side of a contract. Fair enough but I and many others will never attend another double header meeting at Coventry.

You obviously weren't at Poole the night that Newman rode into the side of him on the back straight. -

Swindon V Coventry Select Thur 4th Sep
Silver Cheetah Snr replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No Morris used his own spare bike but as that was playing up on the way to tapes then Aaron brought his out but it wasn't used. So take that up with Swindon speedway then because the pit gate is not meant to be opened either, but the rule still applies if you leave the track at places like Wolverhampton. -

The one that came out for Morris in Heat 3 and the one that that Wright presumably went in to get. -

I totally agree with you but the refs are told what the rules are and are meant to apply them. As for the pit gate being opened how do you suggest they get a spare bike out. I think you have got kelvin to thank for this new stupid rule with all his bleating about riders going back to the pits. -

You are no longer allowed to leave the track after an unsatisfactory start. It appears that Morris knew the rules because someone brought his spare bike out for him. -

Would you like to tell us what you think he did wrong tonight. Oh yes I forgot you are not meant to pull Swindon riders back for moving at the start no when they are at the abbey. -

Silver Cheetah Snr replied to Gemini's topic in National League Speedway
Neil, there was not one fan there last night that moaned about the meeting being abandoned, Dan had to come first. But people do and did object to being lied to. We are not all stupid. There is not a curfew at Brandon, as admitted by Mick after an earlier debacle. -

I think it will be an old programme as well as it is a rearranged fixture that was rained off.
